Right-wing commentator Laura Ingraham has taken a week off as host of her Fox News television show after more than a dozen companies said they will pull advertisements from her program.
Among the latest corporations to cut ties with Ingraham were Liberty Mutual, which confirmed to CNBC that it doesn't plans to run anymore ads on her show, and Bayer, which made its announcement on social media.

Pet food company Nutrish was the first to announce it would remove ads from Ingraham's evening news and opinion show, "The Ingraham Angle." Well over a dozen companies, including TripAdvisor, Hulu and Nestle, have followed suit since the social media controversy erupted.
Liberty Mutual told CNBC that CEO David Long addressed Ingraham's comments with employees on Friday, saying, "These comments are inconsistent with our values as a company, especially when it comes to treating others with dignity and respect."

Oh. If you are burning up their phone lines and you are not a customer, they likely don’t care.
Auto insurers should love me. In 45 years of driving I have had exactly one accident, and that wasn’t my fault. Anybody insuring me is collecting free money.
I used to insure w/GEICO and they are easy, but I hate giving money to Buffett. They used to publish a quarterly magazine, and in one, on the inside front page, was the CEO of GEICO sitting sideways in the front seat of his Ferrari with a s**t-eating grin on his face. I wrote the company and snarkily said how comforting it was to see they were doing so well, then I asked if I could take over their PR for half what they were paying whomever came up with that piece.
Bayer AG was part of IG Farben during world war 11 who manufactured Xyklon B to be used in the gas chambers the Nazis used to wipe out the Jews. I really have trouble taking seriously any advice on the respectful treatment from such “people”.
Bud, it’s all about image in those ads.
FWIW the chemical was an insect fumigant. Doubtless Bayer, even if it knew about the alternate use of the fumigant (it could easily have believed it was for insect control in wartime) was caught up in the nod-wink of the Nazi era — along with others like IBM that are now clean.
Having to reach like that is a sign of denial. I’m not cheering Hogg — I am warning of what (I believe) the power behind Hogg is.
While I did not put that information in my post, it was a short post, I was well aware of IG’s euphemistic labeling. Thanks for adding that information.
A vacation, if that is what it is, is a good idea. A news cycle can only last less than a week, and the world’s attention is off to the next thing.
She walks in after a week, adjusts the mic, clears her throat, and says, Now, where were we? Oh yes,...
Good point.
Well it was sold as an insecticide — as other cyanide-related products were too in 19th century America. I want to think of the Lizzie Borden case, but that was about axe murder. This is not the modern era where you cannot get permethrin without bold warnings on the label.
So cans of insecticide could have been shipped to camps with perfect plausible deniability to their inhuman use. Oh? You didn’t fumigate the camp residents’ clothes? You fumigated the residents? We’re shocked! (And wouldn’t dare say anything lest the Nazi machine crush the would be whistle blowers.)
Not just corporate America. Bayer'so German. And the media conglomerates signing off on all those book deals, European.
Bayer touts itself as the creator of aspirin, they don’t talk about their other “great” creation...heroin.
True, I hate them. Who names a car?
This is why you never apologize to these people!
I hate HULU!
UPDATE FROM FOX NEWS: they support her and she is back from her planned vacation on Monday
Good.
I thought so too.
I had a 1960 Chevy Biscayne I called Black Bertha the car was painted black), so I can relate. I really loved that car back then.

Just saw her tweet. I never thought she was done but nice to see it confirmed!
Let them know you're going to dump their stock.
