Yeah, it’s kind of silly to clamor for a second special counsel to generate process crimes for “our side”. Much better to focus on MAGA, but spend some effort on reforms such as might be recommended by the OIG. I’m not holding out hope for a lot of reform, but some will be better than nothing for DOJ/FBI. For the broader ability of the government to spy on Americans generally and opposition political candidates in particular, that has to be fixed by Congress. At some point, they might get around to it.

Right now, the FBI and DOJ have their reputations permanently tarnished, their credibility seriously jeopardized. Unless several of the upper echelon get canned, put on trial and sent to prison, both agencies will be compromised to the point of being unrecoverable.
