Conservative are boiling with anger at Attorney General Jeff Sessions for declining to appoint a second special counsel to investigate alleged abuses at the FBI and Department of Justice (DOJ).
In a Thursday letter to senior GOP lawmakers in the House and Senate, Sessions explained that he had appointed John Huber, a U.S. attorney from Utah who was first appointed by former President Obama, to work with DOJs inspector general to determine whether a second special counsel is necessary.
While Sessions says he will accept Hubers recommendation on whether to appoint a second special counsel, the attorney general set a high bar for an independent investigation, saying it would require extraordinary circumstances.
Conservatives are apoplectic, believing there is more than enough evidence of wrongdoing at the FBI and widespread conflicts of interest within the DOJ to justify an outside prosecutor.

Got a laugh out of your creative (and nice) turn of phrase.
Decent take here: https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2018/03/why_ag_sessions_declined_to_appoint_a_special_counsel.html
when clintions, obama lynch rice are indicted i will humbly apologize.
“They dont call Sessions The Executioner for nothing.”
Stonewall Sessions, the silent rat bastard recuser, is doing an excellent job of ‘executing’ the Trump Presidency and by extension America’s chance at survival.

From Wiki
"John W. Huber (born 1967) is an American lawyer who has served as the United States Attorney for the District of Utah since June 2015. He was first nominated for the position by President Barack Obama in February 2015.[2] Huber offered his resignation in March 2017 at the request of the Trump administration.[3] However, United States Attorney General Jeff Sessions subsequently appointed Huber as interim U.S. Attorney under the Federal Vacancies Reform Act.[4]"
Yeah so. But Trump appointed him though. Maybe he had already cut a deal beforehand to continue the charade so that the media/DNC don't think that the people investigating Trump were already on Trump's side?
I mean, think about it. Sessions has recused himself from the get-go, Rosenstein and Mueller has free reign. None of the Russian stuff is sticking to Trump and there are reports that Page and Strzok and the Ohrs are already singing.
I’m with ya, brother...
I’m stickin with DJT and his band of shape shifters... “look! Over there!”
(wall built) “Oh, did I do that”??

Ok, you got my attention. Explain because most here want that ass clown hanging by the noose..
Washington blogs posting Fake News for hits, traffic and filler.
Yet, you and the rest of the mean-old FReepers weren't spewing this bile when Sessions was the driving force behind Trump's MAGA agenda.
lolol...don’t even drug test this guy. It’s off the charts.
Yup. Sessions picked the Obama appointee Huber off the resignation list and gave Huber the interim appointment in the Spring of 2017.
Sessions then recommended Huber to Trump, who then gave Huber the nomination in the Summer of 2017.
Turns out that the only two holdovers from the Obama administration are the bogus FISA application guy, Rod Rosenstein and Huber. Both now control the fate of the draining of the swamp.
I agree with you EEE. I’m a retired DOT special agent(federal) and some of the info put out by Gregg Jarrett on Fox is baloney.
Of course the DOJIG has no prosecutorial power. They’re investigators, not prosecutors. Like every other federal investigative agency, they work with the US Attorney, who handles the prosecution. It’s a team effort. The DOJIG is doing a competent job and there will be some crow eating among those who don’t understand the process.
