Conservative are boiling with anger at Attorney General Jeff Sessions for declining to appoint a second special counsel to investigate alleged abuses at the FBI and Department of Justice (DOJ).
In a Thursday letter to senior GOP lawmakers in the House and Senate, Sessions explained that he had appointed John Huber, a U.S. attorney from Utah who was first appointed by former President Obama, to work with DOJs inspector general to determine whether a second special counsel is necessary.
While Sessions says he will accept Hubers recommendation on whether to appoint a second special counsel, the attorney general set a high bar for an independent investigation, saying it would require extraordinary circumstances.
Conservatives are apoplectic, believing there is more than enough evidence of wrongdoing at the FBI and widespread conflicts of interest within the DOJ to justify an outside prosecutor.

Government is too big, it needs to be torn down to the foundations and rebuilt using logic instead of political pull.
Ignoring a multitude of congressional recommendations for indictments falls short of “doing a good job.”
It's not about hurrying justice.
It's about seeing that the delaying and stonewalling is being used to stop justice.
How would you know he is ignoring them? Should he have leaks to the press everyday to make a show of it?
Perhaps to keep track of the push to make Trump look bad.
Posts of this nature can be debated and exposed for what they really are.
“Speculative answer - Trump doesn’t have (full) support of the military.”
That maybe the case. He’s got little to no support from anywhere else in our corrupt govt. I guess we’re going to have to watch this play out.
Like the 5 stages of grief (denial, negotiation, anger, depression, acceptance), the mere initial thought that this may be true can come as a shock to some.
However, once you move past that point, you come to realize the battle for America isn't over; not nearly. Trump has shown the way, demonstrating the complete & utter levels of depraved corruption and treason against the people.
Maybe the military will be forced to act at some point, perhaps under a different leader. Trump merely lanced the boil - we are a long way from recovery.
I saw Jason a few days ago. He was pretty lit up about the inactions of others.
May we live in interesting times. Too interesting for my tastes ;)
All matters? Are you sure about that?
LOL! Go digest some Easter peeps or something. Sheesh.
That was directed to palmer not you ;)
Emails, Clinton Foundation, bogus dossier, Uranium One and even the FISA stuff all involve Hillary, and are "otherwise connected".
FAIL
I believe the proper thing for me to do, would be to recuse myself from any questions involving those kind of investigations that involve Secretary Clinton and that were raised during the campaign or to be otherwise connected to it.
GRASSLEY: OK. I think, that's -- let me emphasize then with a follow up question. To be very clear, you intend to recuse yourself from both the Clinton e-mail investigation and any matters involving the Clinton Foundation, if there are any?
SESSIONS: Yes.
You are factless.
Stating the obvious equates to being a candidate for the DU? Right now, barring a political miracle, the GOP has maybe a 33.33 % chance of keeping the House. And if you think Mueller and his band of treasonous subversives are just going to fade away, and allow President Trump to govern unimpeded, then you’re deep in denial.
“Why can’t Trump get out of the box?”
Easy answer: Think of Mueller as the cop staked outside your home, waiting for you to slip up: he’s going through your trash; he’s watching to see if you forget to put on your seat belt: he’s waiting for you to do that rolling stop at the corner intersection, or answer your cell phone while driving, etc. Anything he can use to pull you over, find cause to search your vehicle, and then arrest you. That’s Mueller’s reason for being.
IOW - Meuller is right up Trump’s ass.
Anything President Trump does to fight back, Mueller will consider “obstruction.” That is where this so-called investigation is going. That is where this investigation was ALWAYS going.
AG Sessions is the PROBLEM.. NOT the SOLUTION.
Right now, the FBI and DOJ have their reputations permanently tarnished, their credibility seriously jeopardized. Unless several of the upper echelon get canned, put on trial and sent to prison, both agencies will be compromised to the point of being unrecoverable.
