Laura Ingraham Says She’ll Take Vacation Amidst Controversy
Variety ^ | March 30, 2018 | Brian Steinberg

Posted on 03/30/2018 8:23:08 PM PDT by EdnaMode

Laura Ingraham is taking a vacation next week. Now the question is whether a controversy swirling around the host will go on hiatus as well.

The popular Fox News Channel host – her “Ingraham Angle” was the fourth most-watched cable-news program in February – told viewers Friday night she would not appear on air next week as she took what she described as a pre-planned break around the Easter holiday with her children. Substitute hosts are expected to fill in for her on the program.

She leaves in the midst of heightened scrutiny. Ingraham set off an imbroglio Wednesday with a Twitter post mocking Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student David Hogg, one of the students who has spoken out about gun control prominently since a February 14th shooting incident at the Parkland, Florida school left 17 people dead. Her tweet linked to a report noting Hogg had been rejected from four California colleges. Her tweet also said Hogg “whines about” the rejections. In response, Hogg posted on social media a list of recent advertisers in her program culled from Media Matters, a left-leaning watchdog group, and urged followers to pressure them to remove their commercials from Ingraham’s show. Nestle, Johnson & Johnson, TripAdvisor, Nutrish, Expedia and Hulu – a video-streaming company partly owned by Fox News parent 21st Century Fox – are among the advertisers who have said they would no longer advertise in her program.

Ingraham apologized Thursday via Twitter, noting that she was sorry “for any upset or hurt my tweet caused him or any of the brave victims of Parkland.” She invited the student to appear on her program. Hogg said he would not accept her apology.

More to come….

Now would have been the time for the network to man up and her to remain on air. To put that would be tyranny back in his diapers.

There are plenty of reasons to criticize Camera Hogg for his anti-second amendment stance. Whether or not he was accepted or rejected by some college is irrelevant.

Two days have passed and she has not mentioned the Space Alien or the boycott. Neither has any other FNC “personality.”

She, and FNC, are running.

The brats and their handlers have accused Republicans and their voters, and the NRA and its members, of being "murderer's of children" and of "having blood on their hands."

For such comments it is open season on the brats and their handlers. Anything goes in warfare. And stripping people of their Constitutional rights is war.

What are you, one of Laura’s chambermaids?

Look, troll...I just checked 3 pages of your most recent posts/comments and it’s clear to me that you’re here spreading disruption and doing the ‘RATS work for them.

Why do conservatives always cower and surrender, especially to a worthlesx fu***ng punk like Hogg. And a week ago they said he was about to fold like a cheap suit.

These people are killing us. Killing us. They will never surrender, never go away. We got nothing. Nothing. They say jump, and we say How high?

Meanwhile, Shep just keeps running his mouth and couldn’t be more anti-Trump even if he tried. He belongs over at one of the other networks but noooo, FNC just gave him a big contract renewal.

Until this week, I didn’t think it was like her either.
I’m truly surprised and a little disappointed that she doesn’t seem made of tougher stuff. I could be reading it all wrong. Her bosses may have insisted on that rapid walk-back.
She could be taking a break due to frustration.

I think Hannity would have fought back more.
You can bet the president is observing all this drama.
He invited her to be a part of his cabinet, but she chose not to. It’s not an easy thing being a conservative in today’s media world. So I sympathize with Laura.

Look, Cuck. I'll re-post something from RightGeek that Jordan Peterson wrote:

In some cases, the journalist apologized. Why wasn’t that enough?

“You never apologize to a mob. You’re not dealing with individuals who you can reestablish a relationship with. You’re dealing with a soulless idea that has people in its possession. And it’s a shifting entity, it doesn’t even involve the same people necessarily across time although there’s often a core, and all the idea is going to do with your apology is note that you believe that the game is fair, the game that they foisted on you is fair and that you’re guilty of breaking the rules.”

"Never apologize to the mob." A simple fact that's too complex for you, or Ingraham, to understand. Now buzz off, Cuck.

She is only 5 months into a brand new major TV show...I find it unlikely that a vaycay of this length was planned.

I listened to most of her radio show this a.m.
While I was listening, she never addressed it.

She did sound very subdued, not her usual full of vinegar/self-righteous personality.

She was in retreat mode.

It’s just not the same without Bill O’Reilly. There is no longer a clear Number One, dominant personality on Fox, male or female. The sense of cohesiveness is also missing from the little bit of Fox that I still see.

“She, and FNC, are running”

Sadly, I concur.

She’s always been a contender, just featherweight. Super- featherweight now.

The little punk banished her to the cornfield.
