South Park has ridiculed just about every conceivable racial, ethnic, religious, political group there is. Blacks, Jews, Asians, LGBTers, leftists right wingers, you name it. HOWEVER, two groups that htey received intense heat for mocking, Scientologists, the episode where Tom Cruise refuses to "come out of the closet" and, of course, moslems, the one where mohammed is depicted as a bear. Quite telling.

It was always obvious. Only conservatives have a sense of humor and can laugh at themselves. Really good humor always carries with it a modicum of truth or reality.

This is why the show is funny even though sacreligeous at times

South Park is an accross-the-board mocker of all that’s ridiculous - while I hardly watched it, I considered it much better in satiric comedy than SNL and any of the Dem “comedians” could ever hope for.
