What being in His presence does to a human body is different than what it does to/for a soul.

A physical body does not have life without a soul.

The soul enters at conception and is the source of the life that manifests the physical body. When it departs the physicals body is dead.

If you heal the soul it is permanent, as the soul controls the physical body.

One thing I do remember my mother telling me was that the Catholic church charged money for those who lost loved ones, with the promise that the priests would say prayers to pray them out of “purgatory”....the more money paid would translate into the less time the person would have to spend in purgatory.

Often there are both in/around the same person. Believe what you want to believe, but if your loved one dies and their soul hangs around after they leave their physical body to help surviving children or family, their soul does not become a demon.

Nothing scriptural about what you just posted. When the body dies, the soul is in the presence of the Lord (2 Cor 5:6). There is nothing in scripture indicating the God allows the soul to wander around after death. Jewish tradition was that the soul stayed near the dead body for up to a week after death, but that has no basis in scripture either.

Children are created pure, thus we must become like them to know God.

The context that Christ used in being as a child in order to enter the Kingdom of Heaven is that we must be as accepting as children, without doubt, trusting in Christ alone.

You are entitled to your interpretation of scripture and you may be correct. I always reserve the right to be wrong and always seek greater understanding.

When my experiences in life differ from interpretation of scripture, I research scripture further as I accept the Bible as the word of God. I then use contemplative prayer to gain further understanding through the help of the Holy Spirit.

I physically see and feel the soul or spirit as it leaves the physical body when a person dies and have often journeyed with departing souls on their journey into the Light to meet Jesus and God. It is an experience that is beyond words and I have much gratitude at being allowed the experience as the bliss is beyond any earthly experience. I miss it and want to stay there every time it happens.

It’s hard to explain, but I easily communicate with spirits that people call ghosts and understand why they are stuck here. With prayer I help them. Prayers for people who die are very, very valuable in the help they provide the soul’s journey after death.

Several years ago I was asked to visit a woman whose house was haunted to help her. As I exited the car, I immediately knew that her father was there, hanging around to protect her.

Upon entering her home and meeting her for the first time, I explained that her mother was not supposed to be able to have children. After losing several during pregnancy, she was pregnant with her and there were complications.

Her father dropped to his knees in despair and prayed for God to intervene and help this child be born. He promised to protect this child and be devoted to it if it were allowed to be born. And this happened and he stayed committed to his prayerful words even after his death. (Memories of life experiences are stored in the soul and not the physical body. They do not disappear when a physical body is gone. I merely read the father’s soul memories.)

The woman called her mother who confirmed my words. The daughter was in her mid 50’s and never married as her father had crowded her life and would never let her go. I discussed this situation with the spirit of the father and he understood the harm he was creating. Out of Love, he departed and went to the Light, setting her free.

Situations such as this are more common than most realize.

I would walk through hell carrying a can of gasoline when I feel the presence of God with me.

Many years ago I was severely burned with hot oil. Third degree burns as a kettle of hot oil exploded and caught fire when I stupidly dropped a large glob of frozen french fries and ice into the hot smoking oil.

I raised my left arm in the air to examine it and stated, “O shit, I’m going to need to go to the hospital.”(That was not a prayer!) Instantly this energy moved into my fingers and down my arm, creating goosebumps the size of large pimples the entire length of my arm.

I just stood in amazement and had no idea what was happening.

After about 30 seconds the goosebumps went away and the skin that was previously charred and burnt away had returned. There was no redness or even tenderness. This logical, left brained skeptic was shocked. If it had not been for a witness to the event, I would have thought myself totally crazy. What I observed and experienced was not possible.

Even so, it so undermined my logical belief system that I no longer trusted my logic. Thus began my search for answers as to the science of how this event happened. After returning for to the university and obtaining a degree in psychology that was of no help, I spent 15 years in neuroscience research.(I had been a business professor for many years prior) Only recently has the scientific explanation of the process become understandable to me. It fully supports the Bible.

I share not to brag or elevate myself, but to explain how I arrived at my understanding of scripture. It is only by becoming empty and dying daily that the answers and experiences arrived. It is though my own weakness that the true strength can enter me as if I am full of myself I have no room for God.

My prayers when I began this journey were that if I were headed in a direction that would harm someone, or go against God’s Will, that my physical life be terminated. I stand by that after 30 years. I am a servant and my only desire is to follow His Will.

Having already died, crossed over and experienced Heaven when this journey began in 1988, I would happily return if it were God’s Will.

Children are only pure at conception when the soul enters. A child in the womb can not differentiate between their own experiences and those of the mother. Thus sins of the mother are present in the child. (I define sin as any event that the soul knows as wrong and thus it creates an obstacle to Love in the soul.)... Love is the glue that holds the human soul together.

Paul explains it well in this scripture.

Ephesians 4:

11 And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ;

13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.

14 As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming;

15 but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ,

16 from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.

I am Catholic, I am Protestant, I am Christian, I am Buddhist, I am Hindu, I am Jew....

Religions are merely theories and philosophies as to the anatomy & physiology of the human soul and how it interacts with its environment. I’m not saying they are incorrect theories. They are very correct.

Unlike the physical body where it has been studied, dissected, tested with various instruments and all religions are pretty much in agreement, the intangible soul has been less understood, thus it is limited to theories and philosophies.

The human soul is physical to me, just as your body is physical to you. I speak from direct observation, experience and the Bible, not just theory.

Many years ago I spent a week studying with the Buddhist monk, Thich Nhat Hanh. There was a Methodist minister from a nearby town that also attended. At the end of the week the minister stated, “After all my years of studying Christianity and teaching it from the pulpit, I can honestly say that I have never really understood it until now as I am looking at Christianity from a Buddhist perspective!”

That statement was like a baseball bat to the side of my head. Thus I study all religions.

I am Christian and accept Jesus as my Savior and the Bible as the truth.
