The Orlando nightclub shooter's dad – revealed to be an FBI informant – told authorities who were investigating Omar Mateen before the attack that pro-terror comments the would-be gunman made to coworkers were just examples of him “being stupid," an agent testified Monday.
FBI Special Agent Juvenal Martin, who was on the stand in the terrorism trial of Noor Salman, Omar Mateen’s wife, said Omar's father, Seddique, had called him while his son was being investigated for the comments in 2006, a decade before the Pulse attack, and was upset.
Martin testified Seddique told him something like “if he had done those things he was being stupid,” the Orlando Sentinel reported.
Martin said the FBI interviewed Omar two other times as part of that investigation, but eventually determined he wasn't a security threat. The bureau even considered turning Omar into a confidential informant himself, according to Martin's testimony. mateen_wife

well yeah, all potential and future terrorists are “being stupid” but that does not mean they must not be taken seriously. Besides, Islam is comprehensive stupidity.

So, now, unlike the Garland, Tx incident where the agent encouraged the shooters, this FBI Agent blew off the information. They can’t get out of their own way. Time to put the FBI to bed. Spread the agents out to the other agencies and put it to bed. Hoover and his FBI had a nice run, time for it to go.

In Garland the agent encouraged the shooters and followed them to the location where the shooting took place - doing nothing to stop them or warn anyone what was coming.
They really need to clean house and purge the FBI/DOJ/CIA/State Dept., etc. of the leftists that infested Deep State.
Why didn’t they just arrest him for lying. That seems to be their crime of choice these days.
I don't think just anyone can get a center seat behind the candidate at a rally unless they are strategically placed there by the organizers.

I have a better idea. Lets expect and facilitate "they" to destroy the permanent deep state completely, along with all its eager minions, and without regard to who may artificially identify as left or right.
The FBI and CIA serve the interests of the permanent power structure almost exclusively, which usually means they act contrary to the interests of a free people.
The CIA gives us regime changes, overseas wars, drone strikes for cultivating new terrorists, assassinations of heads of state at home and abroad, Operation Gladio to stage false flag "communist" terrorism during the Cold War, Gladio "B" to stage and foment Islamic terrorism in the post-Cold War world, Operation Mockingbird for control of mass media, and cute little projects like MK Ultra.
The FBI is closely connected to virtually every major act of terror on US soil. Every time we seem to find out, after the fact, that the FBI had opportunity after opportunity to preempt some heinous act of terror, but never seems to close the deal. That is not "dropping the ball", it is evidence of guilt and culpability. The FBI is the fireman who prolifically commits arson so he can have job security and overtime pay. Except the motivations of the FBI are far, far darker than the motivations of a fireman arsonist. I could say more on that but I'll stop now.

“It was at 2:45 when I had just received the phone call of someone claiming to be the Orlando shooter. I answered the phone as I always do, ‘News 13 this is Matt,’ and on the other end I heard, ‘Do you know about the shooting?’ and I said ‘Yup, I’m getting information — I’m receiving some calls right now’ and he cut me off and said, ‘I’m the shooter.’ I didn’t know what to say, it was alarming to say the least. He sounded really calm on the phone and he started saying that he did it for the Islamic State — he did it for ISIS, and then he started speaking in a foreign language which at the time, being in Orlando, I thought it was maybe Spanish. But he was speaking so fast I didn’t know what it was, and thinking back now it was most likely Arabic, that he was speaking. I said ‘Sir, sir can you please speak in English?’ and then he started saying ‘I did it for ISIS, I did it for the Islamic State’ again. I didn’t know what to say to him. I was just blown away, and I asked him ‘Who is this? Where are you?’ and he told me that’s none of my effing business. He wouldn’t tell me who he was, he wouldn’t tell me where he was, but he wanted me to know that he did this for ISIS, he did this shooting for the Islamic State.”

There is a big difference between Arabic and Spanish, even when spoken fast. If only this producer would have known that difference, it would have helped determine whether the call was a prank or legitimate.
