A long,long time ago, things like Levi jeans and Cannondale Mtn bikes would sell for astronomical prices in Japan. They wanted ALL things American, for some odd reason. Maybe the SKorean’s desire to have AMERICAN things will be the same.
Think about it. You’re some rich guy in Seoul. Everyone is rolling around in Hyundai’s, Kia’s and some European sedans. You roll up to the stoplight in an F250 Super Duty, Quad Cab, Long Bed, 6.7 liter Diesel, on some 37’s. Not a person in that city, won’t know who you are.
That’s just for the rich guys there though, but you want to sell to the regular guys and the salaries are lower there and the gas price is higher.
According to the data from https://www.numbeo.com/ when adjusting for salary and gas price difference the gas cost pain is 3.3 times more higher in Seoul than in Austin. Would hit the F250 Super Duty sales pretty hard if Texas suddenly had 3.3 times more expensive gas.
But will they be able to see over the dashboard.
They’ll all know who you are, broken down on the side of the road.
You’d be far better served to roll around Seoul in a deleted duramax, rolling coal and setting off seismic sensors in China.
Or you can play with the little boys and their toys.
Men drive real diesels heh.
On a side note I do really hope Ford makes a real diesel one day, they have the most interior room.
