Met him briefly as a little kid on a class field trip to the Georgia capitol. Put his hand on my shoulder for a picture. Not sure if I have that pic still...but a good man that I respected.

I will never forget Zell Miller’s keynote speech at the 2004 Republican Convention. It was one of the best ever. Then afterwards he went on live with Chris Matthews and challenged him to a duel for trying to bully Michelle Malkin. It was such a good and memorable day.
RIP, Zell.
