Who was the moron who came up with this notion that Susan Rice, Samantha Power and John Bolton are the only three options for a senior post in the U.S. government involving foreign affairs or national security?

The same people who came up with the notion that the only choices for President ought to be Clinton vs. Bush, Gore and then Kerry vs. Bush, or Obama vs. McCain and then Romney.

The irony is that on the issues of foreign policy, trade, and immigration these false "choices" agree more than they disagree once you cut past the rhetoric. Just as John Bolton shared the views of Susan Rice and Samantha Power on the Balkans conflict, on Syria, and on Libya - again, the difference was of rhetoric, not substantive policy.
