The 2,232 page Omnibus bill includes a specific clause barring funding for a wall on the southern border that mirrors the new prototypes already there. The bill reads:
The amounts designated in subsection (a)(2) through (a)(4) shall only be available for operationally effective designs deployed as of the date of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2017, (Public Law 115–31), such as currently deployed steel bollard designs, that prioritize agent safety.

What is “many miles of border walls”?

He’s not going to veto it. You can save your electrons. The swamp out-maneuvered him on this one. They passed a truly swamp-bipartisan piece of swamp creature crap that they could wait him out on if he were to veto it. The swamp has the votes. He can’t blame Schumer...and he can’t blame his party...because it’s BOTH of them. It’s “bipartisan” which is what the majority of this idiotic country thinks they want. It’s a sad reality...and Trump is smart enough to know it. That’s why he’s polishing this turd as some sort of victory and that’s why he will sign it.

I read on a previous post that the spending bill is not a
budget bill and therefore not binding on the executive branch.
Maybe the admin can take the money and re-purpose it.

At the very least, President Trump should say that he isn’t signing it until he has time to read it and discuss it with his Cabinet and advisors. FWIW, it’s everything President Trump promised not to do.
It’s over. If Trump can’t get wall funding in the 1st two years, it ain’t going to happen. I appreciate Trump’s efforts, but this country is doomed. The National debt will be 25 Trillion in 3 years. Morality is disappearing.
