I know people and lawyers that had to deal with Weissman. He is so corrupt it would make your head spin. (He is also a closet homosexual, but that is almost an aside to his greater evil).
The man is a megalomaniac who believes he is a law unto himself. Weissman would have men thrown into the "hole" (solitary confinement) who would not cooperate and agree in a court to his lies. He would go after wives, children, family members, friends - whomever he could destroy, he would.

Oddly I don’t think my ancestors shot their British overlords in the Colonies to create a police state where a guy like that could act out.

The guy is clearly a psychopath of some degree, we could establish it with a PCL-R test. As you note, he has other pathologies, and people like him seek power to shield themselves from consequences of their very real personal defects.
He belongs nowhere near an elected President.
The guy on the left looks a little too much like Tom Lehrer (”Masochism Tango”, “Poisoning Pigeons in the Park”) for my comfort.
