Conrad Black and VDH are the only voices of reason in National Review. Sad.

The other day there was a thread about Muller going after obstruction now that he’s not found a crime. To which my reaction was....

Soooo ... no underlying crime but he’s gonna go after obstruction?

“You’re honor, the defendant is clearly guilty of obstruction of justice.”

“But I didn’t do anything!”

“And by not doing anything you obstructed my investigation into your doing it.”

You posted exactly what I was thinking as I read Conrad Black's excellent column.

Democrats really cannot stand a ‘Republican’ or a Conservative behaving like the Democrats always do. I hope ALL the criminality is exposed, from BOTH sides if that’s the case, and the American people can try to find a little credibility again, in their Intelligence and Law Enforcement agencies.

At this point, I’m not placing a great deal of faith in the IG report.

Remember, the Supreme Court was supposed to rule that Obamacare was unconstitutional.

McCabe himself was reduced to mind-reading in his attack on the president on Friday night, claiming Trump’s real motive was to weaken the Mueller inquiry.

This was a bizarre comment by McCabe. How do you weaken a DOJ inquiry by firing a guy who hadn't been functioning as an FBI employee for almost two months anyway?

Then I realized McCabe had probably expected to get fired ever since Comey was fired, so he had his PR statement/diatribe written months ago and was just waiting on a daily basis to hit the "Send" button.

The best possible outcomes of this controversy would be the reform of criminal procedure and the end of the criminalization of political differences.

Wrong. The best possible outcome would be the eradication of the FBI as a government agency in its entirety.

Actually, that's not even the BEST outcome ... it's a MINIMAL one.

It’s all about maintaining the bipartisan policy of non-enforcement of laws and borders that has resulted in 30 million illegal aliens who are being used to steal our country from US.

The hatred of Trump is really an extension of their hatred of US.

This IG found no crimes committed in Fast and Furious, the scheme to run guns to the Mexican cartels in an effort to foment bloodshed in Mexico to undermine the 2nd Amendment in the US, even though a US Border Patrol agent was killed with one of the guns.

The Democrats have gone from only needing the seriousness of the charges to the seriousness of their need to bring charges.

I take issue with one statement in this piece. Bill Clinton did indeed commit impeachable offenses

The members of the Chinese military and their bag money at the White House to purchase classified missile technology.

That certainly qualifies as an impeachable offense.
