Two students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School have been arrested today for bringing weapons to school. A third student is being evaluated for making online threats.
The first student, 18-year-old Jordan Salter, was arrested after pulling a two-inch black knife from her bra after a disagreement with another student took place, the Sun Sentinel reported.
The second student, Gavin Stricker, 17, allegedly brandished a knife on the school bus earlier in the day.
On top of everything else, a Broward County deputy was placed on administrative leave for allegedly sleeping on the job.

I was the newbie nerd 7th grader that was the unsuspecting victim of the Yuge 8th grader (Jr Hi school your roles are very well defined) that was known for sneaking up behind little pip squeaks like me and grabbing them in a bear hug and squeezing real hard. Great fun for all involved (except the pip squeak).
Good ‘Ol Ticonderoga No. 2 was freshly sharpened and ready to do it duty in the next class when the bear hug came. I wasnt straining to catch my breath one more time when the #2 was buried in his bicep up past the yellow paint. It was still in my hand dripping with blood when he started screaming and ran off down the hall.
The remainder of my Jr High years was pretty uneventful. Alls else I can remember is doing sand sculptures in art class listening to ABBA and discovering that I had a thing for math.
Holy smokes! I can see from that day forward, if any bully approached you, all you had to do was motion towards the pencil prominently displayed in your shirt pocket and they would find another target!

There are no moral absolutes in the school system. To teach students this is telling them ‘anything goes, do what feels right to you’.
There’s a long list of acts these students can get away with, without any consequences ... no discipline, no reporting to the authorities ... nothing.
It makes me think of the old ‘allowing the patients to run the asylum’ and ‘putting the fox in charge of the hen house’ kind of thing, neither having a good outcome.
They need to admit this policy has failed and needs to be fixed.

She was going after the market of women joggers who might run into unpleasant strangers, and wanted some protection against them.
Okay then.

Government schools are mostly a jobs program for Democrats. From that perspective they are a raging success. That is what is driving the desperate importation of third worlders, to keep the schools, jails, and government hospitals full, and the retired Democrat ponzi schemes from collapsing.

Well weapons have been hidden in more.........private places, but it takes more time to get them out.

Everyday carry for most of us boys in high school was a Buck 110 folder in a belt sheath.
Strangely enough now I remembered a one Christie “Smith” taking a liking to me after that and it progressed to her doing strangely erotic things with the soft skin of her folded knee when the Mr. Steiner wasnt watching. Math was quite the challenge with her dragging my attention span into the gutter!
