I didn’t realize that the Zodiac had become some kind of sick folk hero, or at any rate in TV land. What a horrible thought.
The series itself did not make him out as a folk hero. It was set up as a cold case, find out who the bad guy was. They narrowed it down to one of two guys, or both? They never glorified him. Then again we have Charles Manson and Hitler philes today.
