SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Police Chief William McManus confirmed a second package was found to be loaded with an explosive device at a FedEx facility on Tuesday.

He said the package was removed from the facility and was being 'worked on' by investigators. When pressed for more information, an SAPD spokesperson said off-camera, 'We can't talk about it.'

“What is it about cops and secrecy?”

Limiting copycats who might ‘muddy the water’, revealing clues that might help to catch & convict the bomber, etc.

Maybe these are on timers? Maybe that’s what they’re not telling us.

This series of bombings is beginning to remind me of the TV series “Numbers,” in which a math wiz solves crimes by detecting patterns in seemingly random events.

Let’s see if the bomber lays low OR sets off another one.

"the packages were probably addressed, one went off prematurely."

The addresses could have been randomly selected just to get the packages in the system.

Doesn't mean a FedEx driver (bad man) didn't add it to his cargo at the end or beginning of his run.

Nor someone that works at Dell. Not sure how you're focusing on a suspect.

I agree.....the common thread in all these is that they are all delivered on a hit & run basis.

Time of delivery seems to be relevant....4 out of six were likely delivered just before twilight....just as house lights were beginning to go on.

Since a couple picked them up early on their doorstep, perhaps the perp even knocked on the door....or they heard the "vehicle".

I think there's going to be an arrest within the next 24 hours.

Yeah, they’re waiting for Bill Ayers to commit some pro-bono lawyers and scrubbing their social media before the arrests.

My top 3 suspects in order;

1. Resistance

2. Antifa

3. ISIS

But then this Austin with the FBI and BATF investigating so it’s going to have to be TRUMP.

The mayor said that the bomb wasn’t targeting Fed Ex. How can he know that so early on?

Same reason he asked the perps to call in for a chat. They’ve sent him their rationale anonymously.

No...Ted's bombs were "person specific".

These are random drops within a prescribed area.....consistent with the DC Snipers. That would make me think that all the bomb sites were previously under surveillance.

If there IS a FedEx driver involved, the sites were all on his route.

The trip wire presents an interesting difference. He couldn't walk up to a door as in the others. So this one had the trip wire. But he MUST have been there before to know that and where and how he was going to set it up and leave the site quickly.

Victims....a car, person walking or bicyclists. Didn't matter. The bicyclists had the best chance of not being killed because they were in a small space...but on the move. So size is also a component.

I think the bicyclists may be a big help....especially as to whether this was or was not their usual route.

I would lean towards that also. What perp had to know is what facility it would go to, Make me think more and more that one of the perps works for FedEx.

Hi.

I appreciate your viewpoint.

I won’t argue my opinions because I don’t have enough information.

But, I will stick with the premise that like Kazyinsk, the motivation is ideological.

A political bomber would pick political targets, not random ones.

Randomness is the hallmark of you-know-who.

It probably means there were more involved in Las Vegas than just Paddock, and since it is still an active investigation they don’t want to give the suspects any clues about what leads they are pursuing. Same with Austin—just shut up and grind away on the case until resolution.
