That's one way of protesting Andrew McCabe's firing as deputy FBI director, roughly a day before he was set to retire: At least one Democratic congressman has offered McCabe a temporary job so he can get full retirement benefits — and McCabe appears to be considering.
Rep. Mark Pocan (D-Wis.) announced Saturday afternoon that he has offered McCabe a job to work on election security in his office, “so that he can reach the needed length of service” to retire.

I wonder if Congressman Pocan (D) will feel so proud when McCabe receives his $1.7 million of US taxpayer money while rotting away in jail.
Well he wasn't. An oversight perhaps on the part of the Administration but one that I suspect McCabe will take advantage of. We're talking about hundreds of thousands in additional pension money.

Ineligible former federal employee. His Form SF-50 will prevent him from being legally hired. Any service rendered after Friday will be rejected as ineligible service.
That’s the offer.
Get fired now and lose the pension.
Get indicted and found guilty, lose the pension and go to prison.
I’d almost rather he get his pension, and then be convicted, jailed and lose it.
HST, firing him was the right thing to do.
And, the DemocRAT who hires him will have some ‘splainin’ to do!
