Baltimore County MD, half the team is white? Have we entered an alternate universe?
If you watched The Wire, to a Baltimore city dwelling black, escape to “the county” was to move to a different world. To some in Baltimore city, those that became educated and did move and succeed became objects of scorn.
As per wiki: Baltimore [city] is almost completely surrounded by Baltimore County, but is politically independent of it.
Baltimore County is the suburbs surrounding the city on the nothing east and west. Don’t know who had the bright idea of naming the city and county the same.
In Maine we have 16 counties with some having a town with the same name and other towns with the same name in other counties. When you refer to a county here you always refer to it as x county.
