I am suggesting what this is about based on govt friends who have retired. The pension is a funded retirement based on a percentage of your salary and years.
The retirement is probably the govt’s version of a self funded retirement plan, similar to a 401(k). That is his money. He can start taking that without penalty at 59 1/2.

FBI guy on Laura says they’re told Day #1 at Quantico, never lie. A “lack of candor” gets more agents fired than anything else, and obviously McCabe figured that didn’t apply to him.
