Afrikaners DO study American history, read, write, and speak English, and their culture is actually VERY similar to ours. The ex-pats fit in so well, here, that IF they didn't have accents, you'd think that they ARE American born & bred!

There IS an Afrikaner group in California; however a LOT of them have left/are leaving ( going to Texas ), because Cali stinks on ice.
