You are so correct. I interact with people in my profession doing business with other businesses then I will see the same people in the private forums for products and services asking how to do the simplest tasks. If their client actually knew the real lack of knowledge this person has they would fire them in a minute, or as some have done, not cared and kept throwing money at them. When bad vendors are finally let go by the client and I happen to speak with them they are so turned off by their past experience they hesitate to hire again which will delay increased revenue for their business.
It is absurd; I was visited by a bank that wanted to do business and they sent a token with two older mentors. After being told the token would work with our accounts, I proceeded to ask him specific questions about the products we used with other banks...and the two old guys answered all the questions. No thanks; they were months from retirement, then I’d have nobody to actually service us.
