Hillary Clinton said that white women voted for President Trump during the 2016 presidential election because their husbands told them to, during a discussion at the India Today Conclave on Saturday.
The moderator asked Clinton why she thinks almost 52 percent of white women voted for Trump, despite them knowing about the controversial “Access Hollywood” tape.
“[Democrats] do not do well with white men and we don’t do well with married, white women,” Clinton explained. “And part of that is an identification with the Republican Party, and a sort of ongoing pressure to vote the way that your husband, your boss, your son, whoever, believes you should.”
Clinton then said that she was doing well with white women until former FBI Director James Comey released a letter announcing the FBI had reopened its investigation into Clinton’s email practices.
“It stopped my momentum, and it decreased my vote enough,” Clinton said of the Comey letter.

The tape was planned/grouptested to give her the Big Mo, but in reality she was still sputtering after the debates; as she disappeared from public view; and at the same time Mook, Podesta & Criminal Co. made some brain-jarring mistakes, like endorsing Cankle's desire to run up the score in California, which forced them to shift late-buy$ out of the Blue Wall.
*Nate Silverbags wrote a post-mortem after the election in late November 2016 where he tried and failed to make her case. That's all Cankles has read - no deep-dive (from either!) into the county-after-county-after-county in WI/MI that flipped 180 from Bobo to Trump; not Bobo voter 'abstentions', mind you, but two-time white Bobo voters who flipped the switch in 2016 for our President. I also seem to remember laying eyes on my 2nd husband for the last time in Feb of 1979.
There are millions of white women in the USA who are perfectly capable of iving alone & voting as they please.

In the primaries I originally supported Cruz. My wife was for Trump from day one and remained solid in his camp.

Yes, I believe it was about 1996 and it was McLean Stevenson (TV) and then Roger Bowen (movie). Stevenson, of course, the poster boy for bad TV career moves, with quitting M*A*S*H to go onto turkeys like the McLean Stevenson Show, Hello Larry, and Condo.
