Waitrose is offering a gender-neutral card for Mother's Day in a bid to make the celebration more inclusive.
The supermarket is offering cards celebrating 'Happy You Day' in its range of Mother's Day gifts in order to make them appropriate for transgender people.
It comes alongside a Scribbler card reaching out to same-sex couples with the message: 'Two Mums Are Better Than One'.
Waitrose said the idea was 'broadening out who the cards can go to, whether it's grandmas or transgender mums', according to the Sunday Times

The closets were at least half of their own construction.
I’ll stick to Hallmark.
I wonder how many times it will take for companies to lose a boatload of money on this or that "inclusive" crap before they start to say NO THANKS.
Nobody is going to buy that junk, its utter crap.
.
So they figure it’s worth tossing centuries of tradition to get .001% of the market. Savy.
Supermarkets will soon find those cards mis-shelved or worse.
First boys in dresses took homecoming queen away from them. There is an unwritten rule that any boy showing up at a prom dressed as a girl wins the homecoming queen because to do otherwise would be hateful and intolerant.
Then boys infiltrated girls sports and started taking all the glory. Just recently, we had this heavily muscled and tattooed boy win the "girls" wrestling championship in Texas for the second year in a row. Everybody gave him a standing ovation as the real girls were made to clap on the sideline and suck it up.
Now we have men being celebrated as "mothers" on Mother's Day so even that day can no longer be reserved for "just women."
As we continue to tolerate this nonsense, deviancy will always continue to be redefined downward. The left will NEVER, NEVER stop.
Hallmark is going P.C. ? Say it ain’t so!
Back in the 2000s, I made a point of mishelving anti-Bush greeting cards. (I did not realize he would turn out to be a turncoat.) I still mishelve smutty cards when I have the opportunity. If enough Americans did so, maybe retailers would get a message.
We have a day to honor moms. And a day to honor dads. Neither one refers to genitals, only the labels mother or father which the parent (or kid) can choose.
Seems like anyone who considers themself either a mother or father already has a day and genitals don’t matter. Are there parents who don’t consider themselves either a mom or a dad? “You Day” would work for that I guess by why appropriate “mother’s day” for it?
Who is “Dad, Thanks for being the most amazing mom” for? If the parent considers him/her/itself a Dad, celebrate father’s day and calling him “mom” could be offensive. If the parent considers him/her/itself a mother, celebrate mother’s day and don’t call her “dad” which could be offensive to “women”. Maybe this if for the parent who considers itself a “they” and can be both a dad and mum on the same day.
In any case, it seems like they are really reaching to offend as many people as possible without serving any need.
The wrestler in that photo is a biological female who had been taking male hormones.
She is a she. She was born a female and remains a female. She has a uterus, ovaries, a vagina, and has periods. She can get pregnant. She is a woman.
Andraya Yearwood, on the other hand, is a dude with a dick who wins high school track events competing as a female.
Yeah, I know it's hard to tell sometimes.
“..ither a mother or father already has a day and genitals dont matter....”
Now THERE’S a card right there!!!
“My Genitals Matter More Than Your Feelings!”
I buy cards with dogs, landscapes or sunsets, and without text. What they call blank.
I’m disgusted with their designs, and with half of everything else in American popular culture.
Dont feel sorry for real women. We will always have our husbands families and faith. Feel sorry for the pretenders who when all is said and done are left with an empty sham existence
The owners of this card place are lunatics...and bad business people.
Of course they are. But it is their right to be lunatics
I think we are discovering just how bad the days of Noah were....
At times, they can be worth a laugh.
