Primetime Fox News commentator Tucker Carlson used a segment during his show Friday night to focus on a recent report that rated California last in terms of quality of life among the 50 US states.
"How do you take a place that was as world famous as Eden and in 50 years, make it the worst place in America?" Carlson asked his guest, radio talk show host Ethan Bearman.
When Bearman suggested that overpopulation might be one of the reasons for California's poor quality of life, Carlson interjected.
"Hold on, where do the majority in the past 30 years — where do the majority of those people come from?" he asked. "Do they come from the Midwest? No, they came from a third world country. Do you think that might have something to do with it?"
Carlson continued: "The overwhelming majority [of immigrants] have come from Latin America. And a lot of them are awesome people, and smart, and add a lot, and even the super poor ones, I think a lot of them are really great people. But the truth is, if you import millions of really poor people with no education, it doesn't mean they are bad people, but maybe your state gets a lot more like the countries they left."
As the conversation proceeded, news chyrons flashed at the bottom of the broadcast.
"California Chaos: Drug Needles in the Streets," one read.
"Is California Turning Third World?" read another.
In response to Carlson's segment, California Rep. Devin Nunes, the Republican chair of the House Intelligence Committee, took to Twitter to blame California's troubles on high taxes.

I remember my experience in a 3rd world country (I was 15) and saw people crapping in the street. Now you don’t need to go to a 3rd world country for such ‘culture’ - you can go to San Francisco.

The big problem is that some third world immigrants do not want to integrate into western society and adopt our cultural norms like using toilets instead of doing it in the street. They come here to enjoy all the freebies handed out by our liberal governments and want to live just like they did in their sh*thole homelands. Liberal governments have encouraged this by importing “refugees” without any screening or vetting, allowing illegal immigrants to stay here and live off our society, making it easy to live here without any pretense of becoming Americans or even learning English and kowtowing to the demands of certain groups like Muslims in the name of diversity. Barbarities like female genital mutilation, child marriage, honor killings and the open oppression of women (dare I say burkas) are now commonplace in the US.
They are both right - but both uncontrolled immigration and taxes are parts of a master plan to replace California's unmanageable white majority electorate with a new population more amenable to Socialism. The inventors are now trying to take this successful plan national.
Smashing vote fraud remains the #1 priority for Trump. If he can't get it done, there won't be an America left to make great again.

California is so screwed up. Not only did our governor declare it a sanctuary state and invite illegal aliens into our state, this Senate Bill 35 (SB 35) is forcing us to pay for them and let them live next door or just up the street. It’s required, you have to have low income people in your neighborhood.

Along with the state taking over our local zoning laws, they are forcing every neighborhood to report every April on income inequality.
If a developer wants to build low income housing in your neighborhood, state law allows him to bypass your local planners. If you sue the builder, you have to pay the attorney fees.
When you build low income housing you are required to build walkways and bike paths to the local bus lines. Then the busses are required to come by every 20 minutes.
Now they are trying to pass SB 827 which would mandate building 8 story apartment buildings on the transportation corridors mandated by SB 35.
California’s AB 32 was our Cap and Trade law to curb greenhouse gasses that morphed into a tax on industries that create carbon dioxide. SB 535 requires 25 percent of that money go towards building housing for illegal aliens, they call their neighborhoods “disadvantaged communities”.
