Delta Airlines said Friday that they only sold 13 tickets under their group travel discount for the National Rifle Association.
The airline cut ties with the NRA last week in the wake of the Florida school shooting, prompting major outcry from gun owners and Georgia lawmakers, where Delta is based.
A Delta spokesperson told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the discount, which gave a price cut to members flying to their annual convention, was only used on 13 tickets.

Nobody joins the NRA for the discounts
13? Is that a lucky number?
Delta’s virtue signaling over 13 tickets just po’d 5 million potential customers. How’s that “hope and delta” working out?
Lol! Delta taking a knee to the 2d amendment lobby is gonna cost them a whole lot more than 13 tickets
Got to love it when virtue signaling comes with such a resounding blowback.
Delta didnt make it about a discount, they made it about my 2ND AMENDMENTS RIGHTS!
TRUMP AIRLINES!
I have been a life member for a lot longer than I have been eligible for AARP! And I donated again last week.
Yes, but out of this long list airlines, only Delta and United were stupid enough to jump in bed with Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi and the gun grabbers. Fortunately, we don’t fly either of these airlines, headed by some really dumb people in the front office.
Betcha when this all blows over and Delta offers other discounts they get less than 13 takers from NRA members
Yep. Putting back a discount that nobody used anyway isn't going to mend matters. And it would infuriate the very loud gun grabbers and their media allies. And it isn't likely to result in the reissuing of their tax break, either. You can't win when you indulge in this sort of posturing.
If we are counting discount tickets to determine if something is a big deal or not, how about the tickets for planned parenthood. I am interested.
.
Delta will soon find out how many non-discount pro-gun flyers they had.
.
If that’s the case, why make a PR nightmare for yourselves by making a big deal out of ending the discount ??? WHO even knew there was a Delta/NRA discount program? It was a terribly stupid move by Delta.
Of course, there are parts of the S where you don’t have a lot of choice about what airline you will fly with. Some folks won’t have a real choice.
........was just on the cusp of buying an Austin to Dawson City ticket with Delta one of the carriers. Cancelled. There are many options but I’ve always liked Delta.
If there were just one million like me that would be two billion dollars.
Pretty stupid for 13 tickets. Makes you wonder WHO’s running these mega companies........................complete idiots I guess!
This could be more painful to Delta than they calculated.
Okay, then why did they think it necessary to eliminate the Discount?
If it wasn’t worth the trouble, they could have severed the NRA Relationship years ago, but then they wouldn’t get free Advertising in every NRA Member Kit being sent out to nearly five Million People every time they paid their NRA Annual Dues.
That Delta would forfeit $50 million over such a low impact issue makes me hope none of their decision makers are pilots. What idiots!
I’m guessing that the moron who made the decision to attack the NRA is a pajama boy who takes estrogen shots and plucks his eyebrows with a blowtorch.
FWIW - Delta is trying to walk this back big time.
Most of their execs are pro 2nd. They get it.
It’s called “VIRTUE SIGNALING”; the ignorant asses couldn’t figure out that for a little “look at me, aren’t I progressive” time in the enemedia, they pissed off millions of potential customers.
How much you want to bet it wasn’t even really a whole lot of Lefty/Progs, just a few who turned an email bot loose on them.
