Joseph Avery, who has more than 30 years of experience with the federal government in Army combat arms as an Air Force officer and in the Department of Defense...

Experience in Army combat arms as an Air Force officer?

What a load of crap ... well, CNN, which is the same thing.

Legitimate Possibility - Forward Air Controller.

That being said, the guy sounds quite ignorant.

Guys would do a hitch in the army, go to college, and come out as an AF Second LT. Not a lot. But I knew someone who went from the Army to the AF.

I guess he was tired of getting to fat for his BDUs. The blue is more “slimming.”

Probably a Joint Billet at the Pentagon but that does not mean he has ever fired a weapon.

Once I traded my enlisted stripes for the shiny officer crap the only reason I got to fire any weapons was because of my duties. Many Air Force officers, and this guy was a staff officer, never had to qualify. At least the enlisted troops had to do a day at the range during Basic Training.
