Is this him?

Yes, that is him. He is known in this community as the play-by-play for the Dalton High football team.

53-year-old mentally challenged Jesse Randall Davidson apparently left a note 'last week" threatening to harm himself and others...Davidson began teaching in 2004 after beginning his career as 'a journalist' at a local radio station and working various part-time jobs......

I had a bunch of teachers growing up that shouldn’t have been teachers.

Just in time for the debate to arm some teachers.

You can't make this up.

A guy I went to HS with back in the mid 70's after graduating and getting booted from military service had a long history of mental and behavioral issues the county deputies had to deal with. It included death threats. He went from job to job over the next almost 30 years and finally got a college degree & teaching certificate.

A neighboring county hired him doing only a NCIC and a local check in the county hiring him. They did not even so much as contact his home county sheriffs dept which could have waved a huge red flag and made him a No Hire. The guys family found out he'd been hired and notified the school system that he was not mentally stable and a danger. Rather than handling it as they should have with immediate police on scene escort off school grounds, after school the principal told him he wasn't being rehired the following year.

He left the school and came back minutes later and shot the principal and assistant. The students had left for the day. Better checks need to be done of who is allowed to teach and even who is allowed to come in and work in schools.

The timing is quite interesting. The liberals will love this and say “yeah let teachers have guns - yeah right”.

Haste makes waste. They didn’t have time to let the cake fully bake.

I don’t think this is about getting gun grabbing legislation at some point in the future. I think this is a desperate diversion, a rearguard action by entities trying to survive another day.

Thank God no kids were shot

Could I substitute with Finish dishwashing pods?

Police say 53-year-old Randal Davidson was the shooter.

I was not going to say "left-wing plant" until I saw his picture. Then again, no way I could handle a high school class at my age the way the game is played today. Male teachers can't even make eye contact anymore without a possible harassment suit.
