Parkland school shooting survivor David Hogg says he will not return to Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School until more gun control is passed. Hogg made the comments Sunday during a gun control rally held at Temple Bnai Abraham in Livingston, New Jersey.
The New York Daily News reports that Hogg said, Im not going back to school on Wednesday until one bill is passed. He did not specify which law he wants most, only that he is not going back until at least one law garners the support of lawmakers.
He said, Literally any legislation at this point would be a success. Considering the fact that so few legislators in Florida met with us and they want the people to forget, thats disgusting. The fact that they want people to forget about this and elect them again as the child murderers they are, thats unacceptable and were not going to let that happen.
To date, state-level gun control proposals include tougher background checks, a bump stock ban, a waiting period for long gun purchases, raising minimum age for rifle purchases to 21-years old, and gun confiscation orders similar to Californias Gun Violence Restraining Orders. All of these gun controls were proposed last week by Florida Gov. Rick Scott (R) and not a single one of them would have prevented the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

How much hyperbole and nonsense can he spew???
So then, legislators not passing laws which he demands, makes them child killers. The legislature doing nothing, or passing something which doesn’t meet with his approval, makes them child killers.
Amazing how a 17 year old kid has such wisdom on all of this.
I knew the kid was going to explode. His dad will be real happy about this little stunt...not.
Ultimatums will get you nothing, kid.
He’s an emo.
He already graduated, 2015; look at the yearbook pics are the same...no, he’s not 18 yrs old, no matter what tools here say.
Wait till he threatens to hold his breath till he passes out.
so his grades suck, his SATs suck, but don’t tell me - he’s bucking for a free diploma and free ride to a top-10 university? For being in cooking class during the shooting?
Nobody cares.
How much Wall is built?
There are questions about the yearbook.. Some have said it is indeed Parkland, but there are disinformation forces and bogus counter-forces at work here it seems.
Hey Alex Jones you seem to be really confused as to what I do/who I am I'd love to come on and clear some of this up because clearly as a shit journalist you can't clearly.— David Hogg (@davidhogg111) February 27, 2018
Chucky needs a tour or two in Iraq Seeing everyday people carrying guns like it’s nothing might enlighten him..
Bill Ayers mini me should just stay home and live off mommy and daddy
Year books always have every class in them. He was living and going to school in California, before he moved to Florida, so of course his picture is in an old year book, from California.
OTOH...if he does NOT go back to school, how is he going to go to college and then become someone on CNN, which I'm guessing is what he REALLY wants to do. It's not as though his parents are all that "important", which is how Satchel Allen/Ronan Farrow got his "job", though Ronan did finish high school and graduated from college.
Yes, he’s an emo.
The cover of the year book said "CLASS OF '15"! That does NOT mean that everyone in that book was a graduating "SENIOR"! Things may have changed, over the years, but ALL grades are in year books still.
Rush told him to skip college, Hey yer on fire now Jasper...
Kid needs flannel pajamas and a warm beverage.
