Texas Gov. Greg Abbott warned supporters in a fundraising email Monday about Democrats turnout for the March primary, which he says should shock every conservative to their core.
So far, more Democrats have voted early than Republicans, Dallas News reports.
Through Sunday in the 15 Texas counties with the most registered voters, 135,070 people had voted in the Republican primary and 151,236 in the Democratic. Compared to the first six days of early voting in 2014, Democratic turnout increased 69 percent, while Republicans saw a 20 percent increase.
The Democrats even surpassed their early voting totals from the 2016 primary a presidential election year. (DallasNews.com)
Ill be blunt: Democrat voter turnout is surging statewide during Early Voting, Abbott says in the email. Weve seen a surge of liberal enthusiasm in deep red states like Georgia, Alabama, and Oklahoma, it continues. We had always hoped the liberal wave would never hit Texas, but these Early Voting returns arent encouraging so far.
Abbott isnt the only Republican in the state warning about voter turnout.
Earlier this month Sen. Ted Cruz said Democratic enthusiasm is high.
The left are stark raving nuts. ... They have full-on Trump derangement, he said. They will crawl over broken glass in November to vote. ... We could get obliterated at the polls.
Vote early-—so you can vote often—The Democrat mantra.
What Cruz does now is immaterial to me now - and I understand your being more focused on the US Sinate race in TX. Here in MA, I could only dream of having someone like him represent me in the Sinate (I’m from the swimmer state).
But, more to my point, being focused on FR. The constant sniping of negativity here is not conducive to sustaining, let alone increasing, FR support for those that were or are Cruz supporters. It makes for a caustic atmosphere.
Dissatisfaction among conservatives against establishment Republicans is strong. Yet keeping the Senate will be crucial on supreme court justices and preventing Trump’s removal after impeachment. Another thought is that many on this forum believe the President rode a huge populist wave to election. Fact is HRC garnered 3M more votes than Trump (yeah I know the fraud issue). Trump and his supporters cannot rely on an electoral college miracle to salvage the midterms.
Yes. In California. Aside from that, Donald J. Trump won the popular vote for the other 49 states, even with the rampant fraud.
[Apparently there are a lot of people in this country upset over an improved economy and record low unemployment.]
They don’t care about it because most of them are teeters.
What is the problem of LibTards voting for InsaneTards in a primary? That just makes them shoo-ins for defeat in November.
Well, the evil party has picked off over 30 seats this year and that is too much. I was canvassed at least 3 times in VA by dems, not a single call/text from a Republican. I blame this on the northern VA RINOs and the chairwoman of the RNC, who is related to Mittens.
That is a good question. Texas does have a better than usual system of ID at voting places, though. Don’t know how secure mail in ballots are.
We’ll be voting.
People tired of hearing the truth about Lyn’ Ted should stop posting stuff about him. I’m not the only one around here that is more than ready to reply when someone wants to bring him up, defend him, promote him, etc. Give it up, let Lyn’ Ted resign or be voting out of office. Reality is that if we are down to depending on his vote for a key Trump proposal, we’re screwed because he’ll screw it up, find a reason to object. Lyn’ Ted is bad news, let’s hope he is gone after November.
It became obviously a during the last election that Liberal self-worth depends nearly entirely upon who is in the White House.
“”I need help on Harris County judges..do u have a link for me by chance??””
This ought to get the job done.
