I'm laughing reading a piece from her bio....She grew up in an apartment which had no air conditioning.

Guess what....not too many folks had air conditioning back then. Pretty stupid "life was awful" for me statement.

She grew up in an apartment which had no air conditioning.

And had to walk to school and back home every day and it was uphill both ways.

And he had to share a pair of shoes with the kid next door.
One day he got the left shoe, the next day the right.
They had to lean on each other and hold one leg off the ground.

It was tough I tell you - it was tough!

When I finally moved into my own apartment at 18 I got air conditioning. Even then it was a wall unit for the entire 2 bedroom apartment. The bedrooms got hot in the summer.
Til then every single house we lived in had a swamp cooler.

No wonder she wuzn’t proud of the ‘country’... jeeze, MOST of us born away from the concrete jungles didn’t have AC.
