DEVELOPING: Sources familiar with events surrounding the shooting tell @CBSMiami that when Coral Springs police arrived within minutes of the shooting call, they found not only the BSO School Resource Officer outside the school taking up a defensive position but at least three other @browardsheriff deputies who were waiting outside the school. The Coral Springs officers were told by BSO officers on the scene to wait, but the Coral Springs officers blew past them and immediately entered the building.
These events were first reported by @CNN. A spokeswoman for @browardsheriff and @ScottJIsrael confirms they are investigating if BSO deputies waited while kids were dying. Sheriff Israel earlier tried to dismiss these questions by saying when Coral Springs went in the shooter had already fled. But as one senior law enforcement source told me, at the time BSO was waiting outside they had no idea if the shooter was still inside. They needed to act and they didn’t

I’m very opposed to AA, but have to admit that female LEOs sometimes are the bad-asses all cops should be.

They don’t mention that he used an AR-15. They don’t mention that the shooter was driving in the direction of a second Baptist church when Mr. Willeford took him out.
If not, that's exactly what the left will do to them. Every time.

Deputies were hires by Sheriff Israel and they no doubt mirrored his ideology. Would be surprising if the entire department didn’t mirror Israel’s liberal/Democrat/progressive ideology. Coupled with affirmative action hires you likely had an entire PC “police” department. Who would want for their lives to be dependent on the heroics of this bunch of PC cops? Liberal ideology is the first thing I think of when I see Sheriff Israel smiling and posing with Hillary Clinton.
Will never forget the conservation I had with an Orlando, Florida area Deputy right after the Travon Martin/George Zimmerman incident. He authoritatively expressed that the “unarmed teenager” was a victim of an unhinged “gun nut”. At the time my BS meter had already convinced me the “unarmed teenager” had done something to provoke Zimmerman’s reaction.
PC’ism has infected a lot of big city police departments in Florida.

Hogg Boy? Maybe he initiated the situation and then blended with the crowd? His “cause célèbre” is gun control, and maybe this was the way to get the ball rolling, and give him a platform for his own advancement in journalism.

Oh man, Coral Springs cops went in with guns?
Did Cameron Kasasky and Emma Gonzalez and David Hogg give their blessing to this action?!
And the cops knew they had no chance to survive how?
Even you (who probably won’t admit it to yourself) know that they had no idea what the situation was inside.
They were/are just cowards.
Coral Springs cops obviously living by the rule, If not under direct fire get a position that gives you ‘eyes on’ the enemy however you can. The deputies are hiding behind cover outside, NOT under fire, no vis on the shooter and no immediate threat. Not a great display of courage.
The absolute longest distance inside the building where the shooting took place is 60 yards. I can hit a torso sized target at 60 yards with a pistol every time. Would I rather have an AR? Yes, but the pistol was enough gun for the fight. Also, the Sheriffs dept has stated that the shooter DID NOT have body armor, so again, 9mm or .40 would have been effective.
Sorry..... your excuses for their behavior ring hollow.....
They should have entered the building, period..... it wasn’t a suicide mission..... if had been there at a minimum they could use cover and deny him further access....
In CQB at the ranges they would have encountered him their sidearms would have been more than sufficient.....
Would they have been in harms way..... yes.... but their training in tactics and firearm training would have overwhelmed the suspect....
They were flat out cowards.....
And yes.... I’ve been in firefights..... and sure didn’t run or hang back ....
I guess cops are more important to you than our military guys....

I agree, they are trying to focus the story away from the actual killer. They are blaming guns, they are blaming cops, all the things that they hate. I’m not saying that the cops are not to blame, I mean the sheriffs department, but that shouldn’t be the sole focus of the reporting. Or of peoples anger.
And they’re not blaming the education system or liberalism for creating the problem in the first place.
But we have a lot of good conservative man here, real manly men. And they know that if they were in that situation, the outcome would’ve been different.
