As usual, leftists must lie about their goals, but being honest, their policy goals on guns aren’t much different than ours on abortion. The AR-15 to them is the 20+ week elective abortion to us.
The problem for us is that late term abortion bloodshed never makes the news, and when the Gosnells and Tillers do things that are newsworthy, our propaganda press spikes the stories while they run wall to wall coverage of events like the one in FL.
Their only consensus on guns on the left right now is that our laws are too permissive. Beyond that, there is some disagreement about how far they want to take it, but with the radical kooks running their party, we can assume they’ll take it as far as they can just short of provoking another civil war. When people get used to that normal, they’ll push it a little further.
This is a realistic scenario since after Roe and Obergefell, it’s easy to see a future SCOTUS interpreting the second amendment into the government’s right to an army. The courts have proven to be the quickest way for the left to enact their agenda overnight, and my guess is that they’ll bank on people putting up with the results rather than risk their lives fighting a hot civil war trying to reverse it.
Why wouldn't it be worth it to deport all illegal aliens...if it could save one life???
