A group of Republicans who have decided not to run for re-election told CBSs Face the Nation on Sunday that the Republican Party has changed, and not for the better.
Reps. Ed Royce (R-Calif.), Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fla.), and Charlie Dent (R-Pa.) and Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) complained about the GOPs narrowing focus and the perception that the Republicans must pledge loyalty to the president instead of to GOP principles. [ ]
Royce said he always considered the Republican Party to be a big tent party with room for a lot of different viewpoints. He said part of the answer is for the party to look at what we can do to change the fact that no longer do we really have the types of friendships across the aisle that we once had.
When asked whether the tent is as big as it used to be, Dent said, No, I dont, actually. I think whats happening in Congress is the political center is collapsing, but thats not true across the country. What I found is that we have become enormously polarized here in Congress, and that polarization has led to a paralysis. I mean the very simple, basic tasks of governing, just keeping the government open.
Ros-Lehtinen complained that very few women are running for office on the Republican ticket. Far greater numbers of women are identifying themselves as being in the Democratic Party. Minorities that have always been traditionally a group that we should really be going after.

They decided to pack it in.
The book that changed my life.
Uh - bye.
Republican and conservative don’t necessarily coincide.
I am not a Republican.
Um, he's done more for GOP principles than you clowns ever did. You guys seem to have lib wussy principles not shared by the party's base voters, I know I don't share them, I don't wanna give illegal aliens a hug, ok?
Why do Republicans need to be a “big tent” when we’ve got perfectly good Democrats?
That’s true. Of course, the media still endlessly pushes that decades-dead lie.
The only thing that has changed is the liberal Demonrats took a hard left turn, and the liberal RINO’s just went along to get along.
Queer marriage, queers in the military, socialized medicine, State legalized dope, are just some of the radical changes in the last 10 years.
These RINO’tards certainly know how to bring out the wurst of the “base”.
“The Party” is irrelevant. This confusion is, I think, a consequence of its inhabitants styling themselves as our leaders, when in fact they are supposed to be our representatives. When they discover after being beaten over the head with it like a stupid mule meeting a two by four that whatever golden vision they have concocted through inadequate education, over-familiarity with the Beltway illusion factory, and a vast over-estimation of their own importance isn’t reflected by the electorate, yes, they’re going to be a bit confused. They can learn or they meet the two by four again, it’s that simple.
That they are OUTGOING is one of the best parts of the change. Bad people make bad policies.
It’s like nothing has really changed since the day that book was published; just that things have gotten progressively worse along the same lines as noted in there. And who listened? When Goldwater ran for President, the left Alinskyed him with the daisy-picking ad. The book is actually more relevant today than back then.
Goldwater was another pro-queer RINO.
Attention, idiot faux conservative losers. Trump won.
You want a big tent? Go to Dick’s Sporting Goods.
“Royce said he always considered the Republican Party to be a big tent party with room for a lot of different viewpoints.
This is my congressman. He always seemed very conservative to me. I am very shocked he is big tent guy. Glad he is going now, even though a Democrat I sprobably going to win the seat now.
He did reveal himself to be. Claiming that there was an actual constitutional right to be homosexual was a bald-faced lie. Also, not fighting back against the obvious smears during the presidential campaign showed his true face yet more.
The book was actually written by L. Brent Bozell Junior. Hence the actual conservative tone. I’ll still quote it due to the truth and relevance it contains.
The Globalist Oligarch Patriarchy(GOP) needs to change. AMF.
