That’s for the military only. Civilians can get the Congressional Medal of Freedom, but usually that’s for a lifetime of work. The US is somewhat poor compared to other countries in awarding medals, probably due to our break with England.

Seriously? I think not. I’m not saying he didn’t act in a heroic manner, but that award is for our most honorary warriors. Just saying.
