Grief and rage over one of the deadliest school shootings in modern American history have forced some lawmakers to begin to rethink their positions on gun control, and a powerful chorus of teenage voices is pushing those in Florida to limit access to semiautomatic rifles.
Students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., where 17 people were killed last week, are traveling on Tuesday to Tallahassee, the state capital, to call for a ban on assault rifles. The direct appeal to the Legislature follows protests outside schools, social media appeals and national television appearances.

“While they were hiding, Mr. Hogg proceeded to interview his classmates on camera about their beliefs on gun policy.”
Eating Tide Pods to marching in the streets in just 14 days.
Who granted them the money, the days off to go lay down for their slavering media?
When I was a teenager, I also thought I knew everything.
We don’t need no education,
We don’t need no thought control,
No dark sarcasm in the classroom,
Teachers leave them kids alone...
It’s come true Roger, but not in the way you thought.
Guns are not the problem. Crazy is the problem. An until the Political/Media class stops trying to use dead children to pimp a poltical agenda nothing will be fixed. Law Enforcement and the Mental Health system need to be given the legal tools to take this sort of crazy OUT of society BEFORE they become mass murders,

Joe McCarthy PROVEN CORRECT yet again.
Hey, they’re no baaaaaaaaaasd
Somebody weaponized these kids really fast. They saw the opportunity and some of them were already liberal-minded, no doubt.
We have never seen a mass shooting politicized this quickly. There are ominous forces afoot.
They should go to Debbie Wasserman Shultz and make their demands.
The opposition needs to pass out Tide Pods and fidget spinners.
Meanwhile, the gun dealers will be going full throttle. It will be interesting to see what the gun sale spike will be.
I would love to see his text messages starting at the time of the shooting - the opportunism stinks to high heaven, it’s as if he were groomed for this moment, funny, huh...?
My kid came home today and told me, “ All the kids walked out of class and blocked Hollywood boulevard. Their were helicopters and police everywhere”. I asked, did they have signs? On yeah, they had signs.
I wonder when those signs were made? Had did the media get there so fast?
20 Feb: Washington Times: Former GOP Rep. Jack Kingston suggests left-wing groups are behind student protests
By Jessica Chasmar
Former Rep. Jack Kingston is facing backlash after he suggested Tuesday that left-wing groups are coaching school shooting survivors to protest for stricter gun control.
I think its a horrible tragedy, and I am heartbroken that young people have gone through this, and I hope that it never happens again, the Republican, now a commentator for CNN, told network host Alisyn Camerota. But I also know that their sorrow can very easily be hijacked by left-wing groups who have an agenda.
Do we really think 17-year-olds on their own are going to plan a nationwide rally? Mr. Kingston asked. I would say to you very plainly that organized groups that are out there like George Soros are always ready to take up the charge, and its kind of like instant rally, instant protest and those groups are ready to take it take it to the streets.
Ms. Camerota pushed back, arguing that the survivors of last weeks mass school shooting in Parkland, Florida, were wildly motivated by the tragedy to pressure Washington on gun control.
Mr. Kingston insisted that hes not questioning the students sincerity, but suggesting that they probably do not have the logistical ability to plan a nationwide rally
without it being hijacked by groups that already had the pre-existing anti-gun agenda.
Jack, thats silly, Ms. Camerota shot back. Theyre already doing it. Theyre on buses ...

18 Feb: NaplesDailyNews: Patrick Riley: #NeverAgain: ‘This generation ... The next generation will never have to worry about this.’
PARKLAND A contingent of 100 students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, the site of one of the deadliest school shootings in modern American history Wednesday, will travel to the state capital to speak with lawmakers about enacting stricter gun laws...
The action has been so quick, said (Jaclyn) Corin, 17...
Corin, who was hiding in a classroom during the shooting, said a family friend connected her with U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, whose aide helped her start organizing the trip.
A handful of other Democratic politicians, including state Sens. Lauren Book and Kevin Rader and state Reps. Carlos Guillermo Smith and Jared Moskowitz, also helped, she said...

Yup, I watched it yestereday, it's highly edited for some real time history going on and looks more like a PSA for gun control.
