In the wake of the shooting that killed 17 people at a high school in Parkland, Florida, stars far and wide are speaking out in the ongoing gun control debate. Now, The Big Bang Theory star Mayim Bialik has made an impassioned plea for civil disobedience.
The star took to Facebook with a video post calling out lawmakers who receive funding from the National Rifle Association and private citizens who own guns.
The images of those 17 faces will not leave my head, but I said that about the last shooting and the last faces and indeed, we forget, she said. Im angry, I feel numb, I feel disgusted, I feel horrified and sometimes I feel all of these things at once.
Unlike some of her celebrity counterparts, Bialik acknowledged the many other facets that often come up in the gun control debate, but noted that nothing can be done about them en masse.

How do you do “civil disobedience” to create legal restrictions? What laws do you break?
One uses civil disobedience to oppose laws by breaking the law.
Now I guess they could picket or blockade gun stores, but that does not seem like it would work, or scale, or keep the opposition anonymous.
Then lets start talking about gun restrictions
I believe she has a PhD in neuroscience.
That said, she can pound sand.
Hey ‘Amy’ how about if your beloved leftist cesspool of Hollyweird bans guns and violence in their movies first instead of glorifying it and peddling it to the masses.
good point. How many responsible, law abiding people, NRA members have committed atrocities?
How many have been screwed up in the head?
How many were missed by law enforcement or mental health people? We know this kid was on the radar, and the we know the FBI dropped the ball on the tip they got.
We also know that the guy who shot up Virginia Tech was a mental case, and somehow he fell through the mental health system cracks.
So let’s have that conversation. How many NRA members went off the deep end, vs. how many had huge preexisting problems in their lives??
And another one of my teenage crushes from the 90s turns into a Runt (rhymes with).
“What kind of civil disobedience is she proposing?”
Full sized billboards with her face on them.
BOOM! BEAT ME TO IT! Sickening and boring virtue signaling. Phoney!
Some of u guys on this site are terrible at countering an argument. Personal insults are just brain dead hog wash. Be intelligent! Here’s my retort, “When Hollywood gives up their armed security guards at her srudio, I’ll respect her opinion.” You see how I countered her point without making myself look like an ignorant idiot? The point is, she benefits from armed security all the time, why shouldn’t the rest of us? A lot of people on this site need to work on their argumentative skills.
OK...you and your liberal friends should push for repealing the Second Amendment and the First Amendment while you are at it. See how far that gets. My bet is that you are a hypocrite and have armed guards to protect you.
That’s the post of the thread. LOL
Maybe she’ll move to Kennesaw, Georgia, and not buy a gun.
Another one.
She doesn’t have to think. She’s purty.
Boycott Hollywood and sports celebrities. Do not buy their magazines. Keep them off your electronic devices. Keep your kids free of them. And give what you’ve been spending on them to your church, your family, and the NRA.
Just this afternoon, I went to an antique shop and they had lying around a copy of LIFE magazine from about November 1954. In it, was a story of a very busy and successful hunting season in Michigan and it even had pictures of teenage boys with their guns and going out to participate.
Using the logic of these brain dead twits on social media, you’d think those boys would be running around their high schools playing shoot ‘em up, but gee it never did happen back then, didn’t it?
Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. Liberals hate it!
Yep. Another one of them.
She is angry, and dumb. The constitution does not give a person a right to health care, to own a car, a pet, a broom, a guitar, a soccer ball, an easy chair, or any other inanimate object except... a firearm.
