Why did we need to institute a special counsel to go after these 13 Russians for identity theft?
We didn’t. The local US Attorney’s office could have handled this perfectly well.
I noticed Andy McCarthy over the last week pushing the meme that Special Counsel Mueller’s job is to run counterintelligence on what Russia was doing during the election.
Wrong. Mueller’s remit was to prosecute crimes arising out of “collusion” or “links” between Trump and Russia.
But now the defenders of the swamp are trying to claim he was just looking into Russian activities.
But we didn’t need a special counsel for that. We already have a DOJ, FBI and CIA.
The misdirection by the swamp is hoping people won’t notice that the appointment of a special counsel to prosecute crimes of “links” or “collusion” between Trump and Russia was founded on phony campaign oppo research from Hillary’s crew and that we really do need a special counsel to investigate the DOJ and FBI and the abuse of FISA and how Mueller really came to be appointed.
Good points.
Now if they'll sic the mule on the millions of illegals and identity theft then they can crow about millyuns of indictments.

If this is what you thought McCarthy was saying you REALLY need to go back and re-read him.
Really.
