I was debating a woman about ending the WOD and she said that doing so would end protections against DUI. When I pointed out that NO ONE is proposing making DUI legal and that thousands of people are killed and injured by drunk drivers in spite of so-called “protections”, all I got was silence. Laws aren’t meant to protect people as they can ONLY punish people AFTER they have committed a crime.
