Donald Trump Jr. slammed US Olympic medalist Adam Rippon for the athlete’s criticism of Vice President Mike Pence’s position on gay rights.
The president’s eldest son was responding to a report that claimed Rippon — an openly gay figure skater — did not want his Olympic experience to be “about Mike Pence.”
“Really?” Trump Jr. retorted. “Then Perhaps you shouldn’t have spent the past few weeks talking about him. I haven’t heard him mention you once???”
Rippon, 28, helped the US win a bronze medal in figure skating on Sunday. He has been openly critical of Pence leading the US Olympic delegation.

As I understand it, Mr. Trump's position is that Mr. Rippon would have been better off being silent, and that Mr. Rippon rather than Mr. Pence is the source of such "conflict" as there is.
What is the Halakhically correct thing for the situation, in your opinion. (I'm honestly curious, because it seems to me that, like the stopped clock in the aphorism, Mr. Trump is right.)

No. There are very MALE figure skaters. Takes tons of stamina and strength. They dressed and skates like men. Rippon dresses like a female ballet dancer and skates like a girl.

The Halakhically correct position is that male homosexuality is a disgusting abomination (I've read where some consider it worse than mother), and a universal capital offense. Of course, that would require Halakhic courts, and it's a lot harder to get an execution under a Halakhic court than a secular court.
But instead we've got "conservatives" classifying "homophobia" with "racism" and appealing to homosexuals as voters!

Your contention, then, is that Mr. Trump understated. Makes sense.
I think they have no shame, but they do have guilt. They know they’re doing something wrong, which is why they hate a person like Mr. Pence, who gently and charitably refuses to say they’re doing something praiseworthy.
In these times, everybody understates.

I don’t remember. I don’t think I even thought about homosexuality until I was in my 30s, which would be in the 1990s.
Junior has that same gene his dad has — the one where they say exactly what you wish someone would say.
Maybe if he had shut up and focused on his skating he might have done better.
