That’s def. true of my daughter. I’m 6’ 2”. She’s closer to 5’ 5”. But she’s a bundle of smarts and energy.

However, I was referring to the visit being short. My bad for not being more clear.

I never got to buy lots of little pink outfits because my little pink baby was eight years old when she entered my life.

Looking back, there were times when I thought, “What was I THINKING???” However, now that she has gone off on her Great Adventure, she writes to me (yes, real, hand-written letters!) and tells me in so many words that she was a real doo-doo head, and thanks me for hanging in there. I’m grateful that I didn’t have to die before she came to that conclusion. :o]

Only if they’ve been adopted. Otherwise, I don’t think she would be able to relate to them because I was the “wicked step-mother,” and she “didn’t have to do what I said because I wasn’t her ‘real’ mother.” (Her real mother passed away when my daughter was five.)

Lots of things at work there, but they’re not worth relating.

Yeah, there was some of that at work too, but suffice it to say, I’m glad Igor is no longer among the living. However, if I hadn’t married him, I would not have my daughter.

So regardless of the BS that I had to endure for so many years (from both her dad and her [he was her tutor in hatred]) I’m glad that I have her. My early life enabled me to understand her in ways I don’t think she will ever realize.

And I’m sorry you have to endure that dynamic. It’s nasty any way you look at it.

Our inside outdoor thermosampling device is reporting that it is 100° in the area above the back door. But what does it know...

A thermosampling device located in a different location is indicating 95°.

There is obviously more glowbull warming above the back door..

And accompanying the heat we have thunderous storms on the horizon. The notnecessarilyAccu(rate)Weather app on my smortphome says the light and water show starts in 6 minutes. The radar display tends to support that claim.
