Hey Chris: its the difference between a photo of someone robbing a safe, and a photo of an empty safe . . .
The allegations against former Trump aide Rob Porter are serious. There is reason to believe that he physically abused his former wives.
That said, Chris Cuomo has ignored a big difference in the photos involved in the two cases. On CNN this morning, Chris Cuomo said that Pres. Trump is playing favorites, given his strong reaction to the photo of Al Franken groping a woman and his muted reaction to the photo of a former wife of Trump aide Rob Porter with a black eye.

I've had a few in my life. Once, I was playing with my Yellow Lab (Grady) on the floor. He wacked me good with his noggin and I got a shiner that looked about the same as the one pictured here. Talk about a knucklehead, Grady has one on top of his head, and it got me good.
In 2012, Mirkarimi was accused of beating his wife, and there were photos of her bruised body. Mirkarimi pleaded to lesser charges. The mayor suspended Mirkarimi, but he sued to be reinstated and won.
Mirkarimi lost his 2015 reelection bid.

Actually, the photo shows nothing more than a woman with a black eye.
...................................................
I had a black eye exactly like that because my baby son threw back his head hitting me in the face when I was holding him on my lap. There are MANY ways to getting a black eye. She didn’t complain then so has no right to complain now. There should be a statute of limitations if there isn’t.
I saw my ex daughter in law attack my son physically, kicking and hitting him because he forgot to pick up a package of photos she sent to be developed. He just stood there are took it. Had he lifted a hand to defend himself, he would have been blamed, if not incarcerated. That is the lopsided sad state of affairs in this argument. Femnazis need to be STOPPED.
In 1978 my then girlfriend and I were wrestling around the house tickling each other like young 20 somethings do. running back and forth...I dove on the bed to get away and began to sit up on it...she got behind me and dug her hands into each of my sides..I involuntarily reared back and BAM ...back of my head right into the middle of her nose....CRRRRAAACKKK! Sounded like a sack of walnuts.
To the ER we went late on that Friday night. You should have seen the ER personnel looking at me as if I was Jack the Ripper. And that was 1978! My GF told them what happened and they believed her. If it would have happened today I’m sure I would have been arrested no matter what my GF said.
Up shot of it all....about a year later we broke up and GF wanted to get back at me, sooooo she told my family members that I had punched her in the face in anger that night and covered up for me. Some of them still believe her false story today.
But women never lie right?
Franken's a Democrat and Price is a Republican.
You either completely ignorant or a liar. There’s no third choice.
You dont have children?
Why is his story believable and her story is not?
Some years ago I was mowing and trimming the lawn. We had a gas powered weed whacker that was very hard even for my husband to start. To get enough leverage to pull the string, I put my arm through the handle and did this several more times without noticing it was causing a bruise.
Later that evening I got a huge lump on my arm that had turned a very dark purple and my hand was going cold and numb.
So after calling a nurse friend of mine, she recommended I get it looked at so my husband to me to one of those quick care centers.
The doctor and one of the nurses asked me several times how I got injured and then I noticed how they were looking at my husband, giving him the side eye and then asked him to leave the exam room.
I laughed and told them again how I injured myself and yes, I was probably just that stupid for doing so but most importantly, if my husband had done this to me, that hed be the one needing medical attention more than I. : )
LOL. especially since you hit her with a hammer!
Lol
I’ve had ‘em a number of times, usually from playing b’ball, two guys bang heads while going for the rebound or chasing the loose ball. And it’s always the same kidding around...she’s beating up on you again!
The lack of swelling around the eye should not be overlooked. Trauma sufficient to break small capillaries would cause swelling. How long after the alleged assault was this picture generated?
That is so not true. I got a black eye last month. I was arranging items on a high shelf when a pillar candle fell on me, just above my eye.
I do get that women are battered. I got my own share of black eyes from out of control “discipline” in my youth. But last month, I was especially annoyed that several people joked that my husband hit me. He’s a gentle bear of a man who rarely even raises his voice to me, and it hurt that people would even suggest he might abuse me.
My point is, not all black eyes are due to abuse, and not all men are the same. Some men do indeed abuse, but unfortunately, some women lie about being abused to gain an advantage. That’s why due process is vital.
Never said his story was more believable or not. Just that he said he took the photo. If that is the case, then why?
My thought exactly. I’m a lefty so that’s exactly where I went. The nose looks undamaged and there is no mouse under the left eye (both eyes usually shine up if you get hit in the nose), so this is likely a blow from the left hand to the left side of the face.
So why wasn’t this photo taken by a police officer who was investigating a battery complaint? Was a complaint filed? I’d not heard of all this until today and my first thought was about finding out what the police investigation uncovered. Let me guess, there was no investigation.
If that's the case then why hasn't he provided details on the when and the why?
My assumption would be lawyers are the reason.
I have never had a black eye. You dont get one from a fall or walking into a door.

Except I did. Last year a few days before Christmas I got up at 2am to use the restroom. My blood pressure, which is always low, took a dive and I passed out. I hit the vanity chair with my face on my way down. I had a glorious shiner for Christmas ... and it didn’t even turn green fast enough to be festive.
“I’m a lefty”
I’d be careful who I told that to around here. :)
