President Trump's former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski on Saturday accused Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee of purposefully putting sensitive information in their memo, forcing Trump to block its release.
“What you’ve seen here is another partisan issue, which is the Democrats specifically put information in this memo that they knew the White House could not sign off on because of national security reasons,” Lewandowski said on "Fox & Friends."
“What the White House is asking the Democrats to do is go back and remove the information from the memorandum that would allow the White House to release all the information,” he said. “But look, this is a partisan issue now. This is about politics.”
Lewandowski claimed that Democrats on the committee put classified information in the memo so that if the White House did move to release it, it would be heavily redacted and allow Democrats to accuse Republicans of playing partisan politics.

Assuming that there is no serious detriment to national security I think it might be better to release it all. Once it’s released there will be little reason to hold back the actual evidence. Most of the info will already be in the public domain.
Just release it unredacted after they complain. It will probably not damage the FBI that much more than it has already been damaged, and people will see it was a ploy.
How would he know what’s in the memo? He’s probably right, but this is speculation. Someone on the HIC would be more believable, and they all voted unanimously for its release.
Who is responsible for it having classified info, Trump or the Dems for writing it. Seems the Dems.
Just release the memo in full, there is no law enforcement technique in that that we haven’t guessed at or has already leaked.
Then they will charge Trump with illegally relishing classified information and move to impeach

Nonsense. POTUS is in charge of all classified information, and it’s his decision whether or not to release. On the other hand, some f@#$-wit probably would do just that.

The memo itself is a legal procedure to declassify information. They can't impeach him for de-classifying information in a legal request for him to de-classify the same information.
From what I understand, the Dems drew conclusions from the info and included said conclusions in the report.
Plus, they also included footnotes, which could have been used to identify and endanger intelligence sources.
Everyone relishes classified information. It’s like being let in on a secret.

The HIC booted it up to Trump rather than do it themselves and be called partisan nazis. Shifty played Nunes just like he did back in March by tattling to the ethics committe and forcing him to recuse. They put crap in the memo they fully knew would prevent it from being released in that form and now are blaming the Rs and Trump.
We’ll have to wait and see who gets the last laugh.
I knew before Corey Lewandowski even said this that that was what the democrats were going to do after listening to Adam Schiff talk. You new that all they had was sad propaganda to try to protect Hillary Clinton and the DNC from the Nunes memo. The ploy of putting things in their rebuttal that the president would have to reject it was the next step, given that there would be nothing of substance in it. They will now claim that the president is playing politics and I doubt that they will revise their rebuttal.
I heard an expert argue that more damage to the country will be done by withholding this memo than would be done if the classified information were released.
Admittedly arguing from a position of ignorance on my part, I agree with him.
My money’s on Trump. Safe bet, what with his track record of making monkeys out of the MSM and Dems.
