...Just as the dossiers credibility began to wanenone of the allegations regarding Trump have been verifieda New York Times article from Dec. 30, 2017 corrected the record to show that the FBIs inquiry into the Trump teams possible ties to Russia in fact had nothing to do with the Steele dossier, or Trump campaign adviser Carter Page, as the paper had been reporting for the past year. No, it began after a meeting between Papadopoulos and the Australian ambassador to the United Kingdom, Alexander Downer, in a London bar, back in May 2016. At that meeting, Papadopoulos, who, according to the Times, was in contact with Russian figures who were apparently connected to official Russian channels, told Downer that he had inside information the Russians were about to release thousands of emails damaging to Hillary Clinton. After the hacked DNC emails appeared in June and July, according to the Times, the Australians decided to pass on news of Papadopouloss boasts to their American counterparts.
Todd asked Brennan if the intelligence on Papadopoulos came through the C.I.A. via the Five Eyes thing, referring to the intelligence-sharing relationship between the five English-speaking powers, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. Brennans response, though, went off-script.
He wasnt going to get into details about how it was acquired, he explained. But the F.B.I. has a very close relationship with its British counterparts. And so the F.B.I. had visibility into a number of things that were going on involving some individuals who may have had some affiliation with the Trump campaign.
British counterparts?

Are you suggesting he has worn a pin like that? We know he pulled nonsense, but never like that. We know his obvious failings. My apologizes if I read your intent wrong.
Well according to many who have actually studied the form, the consensus is that they did not . As for him being a natural born citizen, he isn’t, but I am not going to argue the point with you.
Its a very interesting article. Basically he says that it wasnt the Australian ambassador who tipped the US to Papa but rather the Brits. We have this deal with the Brits where they spy on our citizens and give the info to us and we return the favor. That way neither of us is violating our own laws. Or so thats the theory.
I believe that I heard that NBC just hired Brennan. The deep state is going to work for the MSM.
The Ministry of Propaganda is an arm of the Deep State.
I suggest we stop calling it a swamp. The miasma goes much deeper
Probably had it embroidered on his knickers.
Within the context of the article, Smith is implying that the credibility of the dossier was beginning to wane, even among journalists and other assorted true believers.
Triple hearsay evidence uttered publicly by a drunken unpaid campaign adviser does not usually cause the FBI to open a counterintelligence operation against an opposition candidate.
And it links back somehow to Fusion GPS and Glenn Simpson. Simpson claimed in his Senate testimony that Feinstein released a few weeks ago that there was an FBI informant in the Trump campaign. But when asked further about it when the statement was made public, Simpson immediately walked it back, stating that the Papa-Aussie incident was what he had meant. Which clearly makes no sense. Unless someone had told Simpson that Papa was an FBI informant, which he clearly wasn't, since the FBI didn't get around to questioning Papa until December 2016, well after the election. Nor was the FBI monitoring Papa like they were Carter Page, and which you think would have been a priority if the FBI really thought that Papa was a significant figure.
So who told Simpson that the FBI had an informant in the Trump campaign?
I have a guess: Papa was on the Fusion payroll and Papa told Simpson that he was an FBI informant, because Papa was a serial liar and fabulist and wanted to keep earning that Fusion/Clinton money. London is an expensive city, after all.
That’s not real. Where’s Comey’s Hitler mustache!?
Something looks funny about that. The lighting? Can’t put my finger on it.
Brennan is the king of crooked swamp rats. I believe Brennan is the principal ‘fixer’ behind all that is Obozo, borne out of a common Muslim/Communist ideology.
Amazing article. Lots of folks around here aren’t getting it. I am sorry about that. But, this contextualizes all of the running threads and if you consider the source, its is almost as if “The Nation” is posting this. Which has, by the way stepped away from the “we want a police state” line advanced by the Dems right now.
Awesome find. One of the best Articles written so far. Lee Smith needs to be interviewed by Tucker Carlson
Correct. That not just the "original intent", it's the current law. It's what the constiution says.
"Only two US citizen parents, birthing their child on US soil can give that standing."
Incorrect. That's a made up Birther factoid. A person born within the US is a natural born citizen. It has always been so. It was understood to be so by the founders.
Did President Obama Read the Steele Dossier in the White House Last August?

According to the many that frequent flat earth sites the round earth idea is an evil plot. The evidence is all faked.
I could cite 9-11 Truthers instead, or any number of crackpot theorists. The fact is what matters is not that there are people saying something, what matters is the substance of what they say. And the people claiming that BC is a forgery just don't know what they are talking about.
"As for him being a natural born citizen, he isnt, but I am not going to argue the point with you."
You choice, but he is. If he was born in Hawaii, he is, that's a fact.
What I heard was that yes Papa was the informant. The FBI fitted him with a wire as part of his cooperation. He went to a few meetings and got nothing of value. He was pretty much out of the loop by then. So the Mueller team pulled the plug and made the plea public.
