Alice Cooper was there? I think that was Ozzy Osborne and it was IIRC, a bat. During a concert a concert goer, for some strange reason, threw a live chicken up on stage, and Alice Cooper, thinking perhaps the chicken could fly, threw it back, but it was the audience who tore that poor bird apart.

Later he took some doves to the boardroom when he signed a new record deal.
Ozzy released all the doves except one. That one he bit the head off.
According to Ozzy “I thought they would get the humor behind it.”
