... Climate change isnt just about the planet. Its about justice: racial, social, socioeconomic, reproductive, and environmental. Its about immigration reform, LGBTQIA+ rights, and religious freedom. I know this interconnectedness, and fervently believed in it when I wrote my initial essay submission last year.
However, in this moment, I find myself unable to think of climate change on its own. When Trumps policy is climate destruction, it doesnt take place in silos.
If anything has changed in my mind since last year, it is that my connection to so many struggles for social justice are even more strongly at the forefront.
And yetto know that your work is inextricably linked to other fights for equality, and then to see the flood of battles headed our way: How on Earth do we keep from drowning?
We must build resilience, physical as well as social, and spiritual.
When I think about resilience, I think, as always, about the young people on the front lines of climate change. I think about my friends, my generation, those who refuse to accept the present for what it is, but see the future for what it could be. I think about the Sunrise movement, a response by young people to Trump and climate change. This group is talented, determined, and resilient, developing a new strategy to mobilize communities into political action on climate.
I would be lying if I said that I am very hopeful these days; after all, there are many reasons to choose to despair. However, when I hear about howas we young climate organizers knewyoung generations are rising up to Donald Trump, to the deafness of politicians, and to the climate crisis, I decide to be hopeful.

Leehi Yona completed a two-year Diplôme détudes collégiales in Integrated Arts and Sciences at Marianopolis College in Montreal, Canada, before coming to Dartmouth. She is passionate about the interconnectedness of climate change and giving youth a voice when it comes to solving these issues.
It’s about increasing elitist power.
Drop the mouse, and back away from the keyboard.
Good Lord.
This is a girl who needs to be sent back to the villages, to learn from the peasantry. The Maoists weren’t ENTIRELY nuts.
There are some people who need to fall into smelly physical reality.
So, what this clown is saying is that Climate Change is just another word for Marxism!
That's a cool psychobabble term that's new to me.
I have also heard that climate change is creating abnormal nose growth in Canadian females.
Young, dumb, and full of commie cum (though, not her own).
Leehi, the “social justice” and “change” that you are espousing comes about in one fashion only. Armed rebellion. If you think you can handle it, pick up a weapon and come at me. See what happens.
Climate change is bs. It has no measurable standard. It is a canard the purpose of which is to control your life and take your stuff that you legally own.
At least they finally admitted it. The climate change agenda is actually an extremist social justice agenda in disguise.
Socialism is a psychological disorder.
Take a strong dose of paranoia and combine with with a fear of liberated human beings, and you get the obsession with needing a paternalistic authoritarian power that has the illusory effect of maternal fairness on a populace in one’s psyche.
It’s pure delusion
Now I'm confused....
Because nobody understands the real world and knows how to identify and solve problems like snowflakes
with vast experience playing computer games and sounding off on Facebook.
Let’s send Leehi to work for a year in a âNo Goâ area in Paris or Stockholm. She can work with the oppressed masses of muslim immigrants disguised as âyouth.â I bet they’ll wipe that smile right off her face while gang raping her to help solve climate change.
Translation: She is a brainwashed idiot and tool of the deep state.
,,,, children should be seen and not heard
So climate change isnt about the weather... who knew?
