Exclusive: Expert Explains Why Andrea Tantaros May Have Burned Through 3 Attorneys in a Year
The Western Journal ^ | February 6, 2018 | Jason Hopkins

Posted on 02/06/2018 3:46:08 PM PST by BurgessKoch

It appears the only person able to represent Andrea Tantaros in the courtroom is Andrea Tantaros.

The former co-host of “Outnumbered” and “The Five” has decided, after severing ties with three different lawyers, to represent herself in a lawsuit against her former employer, Fox News. ...

Given the intricate accusations she has leveled against the company — and the fact she is going up against the formidable legal team at Fox News — Tantaros will need to essentially teach herself how to practice law in order to stand a chance.

“Finally, Ms. Tantaro’s case is a complex one which will require her put on many witnesses to prove her case. So she basically has to figure out how to practice law, coordinate her entire case in chief and focus on her own testimony as a witness.”

Runger says her entire case is being jeopardized by her decision to proceed without professional legal counsel.

“Its a recipe for disaster and she really needs to take a step back, analyze what went wrong with the first three sets of lawyers she engaged, hire a new legal team and commit to allowing the new team to see the case through trial. There’s a reason why Abraham Lincoln said ‘he who represents himself has a fool for a client’ and Ms. Tantaros’ entire claim against her former employer Fox will be jeopardized if she elects to continue to represent herself pro-se.”

Usually a company will settle out of court it is a whole lot cheaper for the company whether they are guilty or not!!! I think Andrea is refusing to settle and attorney’s are probably disgusted!!! FOX can drag this thing on FOREVER hope Andrea has the money to live for a VERY LONG period of time!!! Once a woman files a sexual harassment suit against a company most other companies will stay FAR AWAY from employing the woman, they don’t want to possibly end up in the same boat!!!! Since this has become public it’s not like EVERY damned company around doesn’t know about it!!!

It’s possible that her attorneys might have advised her to settle for a figure less that she is asking for. They know this is going to be a long long fight and very expensive. I’m pretty sure the majority of us would be hugely satisfied to receive just a small percentage of what she is asking for.

So basically the lawyers don’t think they can get enough money out of this case FOR THEM, which is why they are persuading her to settle? I’m guessing they still want their full 40% of the settlement just to get her to settle?

She’s a princess and a narcissist.

The shit was eventually going to hit the fan with her. Better to avoid her like the plague.

That’s Megan Kelly. oops! I mean Andrea Tantaros.

I don’t care what Google says...it’s not a picture of Tantaros.

See reply 31.

That’s possible too, since we don’t really know what the problem is.

We can only hope! Please let me know when that’s slated to occur, because I want to be there!

Exactly right.

The only point I would dispute is the contingency part—lawyers can only take personal injury cases on a contingency basis. It’s unethical to peg payment to outcome in other cases. The idea was to ensure that injured parties will always have access to the courts.

It can also be difficult to get yourself removed as attorney of record if the client won’t agree to it. A judge has to let you out.

“That is not Tantaros.”

I believe you are correct. Tantaros is a “somewhat bigger” women.

Not Andrea Tantaros. If you read her pro se complaint, one of the alleged conspiracies is all of the fake pics of her on the internet.

When the case has anything to do with sex, you have to be really careful with the headlines ...

Freeper hole_n_one identifies her as Kim Lee. When I searched though, the name Andrea Tantaros was next to the picture. I defer to Freeper hole_n_one.

I highly respect your opinions. But how does her complaint about fake pictures being posted on the internet make FOX responsible? I got this from DUCKDUCKGO, and evidently another FReeper found it on GOOGLE.

My ex-wife had five lawyers in our divorce proceedings. She was not stupid enough to represent herself, but she did emerge from the proceedings very unhappy with the outcome. :-)

I disagree with Lincoln and this writer in part. I have represented myself dozens of times in open court with a very high degree of success (all civil cases).

So, my “disagreement” is that in SOME cases, and Tantaros is one smart cookie, your better off without a poor lawyer representing you and over half of them aren’t worth the lead it would take to shoot them.

Another case went 15 years. The jury verdict I won. I went through 5 different law firms in that time period. So, it’s possible Tantaros is doing exactly what she needs to be doing.
