That is so neat to have this picture of your great grandmother.
Do you know who the child is in the doorway?
Need to send to Fauxcahontas, as she doesn’t know what a real Native American looks like.

After I got interested in ancestry, I constantly questioned my parents and older family members about names, places, their memories and stories they heard, some of my childhood memories. I kept note of everything. Some mysteries I solved but some I didn’t. I also noted that I sometimes got different stories depending on who was telling them.
Your very fortunate. My only family is my immediate family. I was never around the rest of the family but for a week or two in the summers when growing up.
We were talking genetics in a college class and the teacher claimed that if both parents have Brown eyes you will have Brown eyes. Well both my parents had brown eyes as well as all four grandparents. I have free eyes. So I asked her if my mother was messing around with the milkman. She said it happens rarely, but a gene can stay hidden for even hundreds of years and come out. I asked my dad if he remembered anyone in his family having green eyes, and he said his grandmother did, and said he thought I looked like her. I have a picture of her but it’s black and white.
I hope President Trump has a safe space where he can go and sulk at the rejection by this outstanding human being....
I understand the different stories from family members, has happened to me too.
Also, as my mom got older, she tended to mis-remember things.
But it is a good thing to write it all down, now have I done that? NO. LOL
A niece says to me, auntie please write down all you can remember about the family, I say to niece, come over and I’ll tell you stories and YOU write down stories. LOL
Haven’t seen her yet.
Reason number 2. It’s so foolish to politicize everything, guess he wants a gig as commentator on CNN.
Saw an interview the other day of Adam Rippon.
He’s a very cocky young man.
Really sad that being a Christian gets one labeled a homophobe, he better hope that the Muslims don’t take over America, he’ll be skating off a very high rooftop.
I usually only saw my dad’s mom a few weeks in the summer. She was so funny and nice I wished she had lived closer. But most of my aunt’s and uncles on both sides of my family lived close so that was good. And my mom’s mom lived in the same town.
President Trump having a good meeting on infrastructure. I love how he gets information from people that are involved in things, instead of having a desk job bureaucratic make decisions.
To Lakeside Granny from Lakeside Granny.
:-)
Criminal detectives always say they can get ten conflicting stories from ten eyewitnesses, because people see and remember things differently.
LOL
