Rosenstein has to recuse himself for the same reason Sessions did.

Rosenstein doesn't care about conflicts of interest of he would have never appointed Mueller. He actually gave Mueller a conflict of interest waiver, which is outrageous for an "independent" special counsel appointment. He probably has one for himself somehow now as well. NO ONE in the current DOJ appears to be acting ethically, to assume they suddenly will is silly.

If Mueller’s on a mission then I’m not seeing it, since his investigation gets undermined more and more seriously with each passing week.

Gowdy might be auditioning for the next job opening of FBI director that might come along. It’s important to say the right things if you want in.

Look into the details of a conflict of interest waiver and see why it’s not unusual — and maybe even necessary — for someone in Mueller’s position to have one.

Gowdy has a bit of a problem recognizing the enemy.

So do many if not most of the posters on this and other FR threads who are still taking potshots at TG, someone the posters do not understand or because they are motivated to delegitimize that which TG has actually accomplished as a congressman. Perhaps?

His net worth went from several hundred thousand to 4 million in the last few years I have heard. And all on a congressman salary?

Because there was NO CRIME included in the authorization for a Special Counsel in this case, the appointment of ANYONE to the position is in violation of the law.

28 CFR 600.1 - Grounds for appointing a Special Counsel.

The Attorney General, or in cases in which the Attorney General is recused, the Acting Attorney General, will appoint a Special Counsel when he or she determines that criminal investigation of a person or matter is warranted and -

_____________

“criminal investigation” - that would require that the crime to be investigated is included in the authorization and appointment.

Because Robert Mueller visited the White House the day before he was appointed Special Counsel. The cover story was that Mueller was interviewing for a position as FBI Director for which he was not eligible. He was given a choice to come back to the White Hat side. The plan was to use the Special Counsel’s office as a sting on the Deep State Lawyers.

There's never been any proof of that and the chances of it being true are next to nothing at this point. Rosenstein wanted Trump to hire Mueller as FBI Director, some claim even going with Mueller to the interview, and when Trump rejected him basically on the spot Rosenstein appointed Mueller as SC the very next day. Trump was outraged, famously saying of Rosenstein on Twitter "I'm being investigated for firing the FBI director, by the same guy that told me to fire the FBI Director!" Those wanting us to believe Trump was and still is lying to us about it aren't true supporters of the President.

I don't know who nor what Q is, but the sycophantic supporters, here, are doing themselves, nor us, any good.

There's a great old book, EXTRAORDINARY POPULAR DELUSIONS AND THE MADNESS OF CROWDS, by Charles MacKay, that talks about a number of such "delusions" and by extrapolation, it's easy to see how people fall for things; even today. It doesn't really matter what it is, though, there will always be people who get sucked into believing things that they shouldn't. Just look at the damned SNOWFLAKES; not that I am in any way saying that the Q "true believers" are like the snowflakes!

It's just that "things are awful" or not easily explainable, someone comes out of the blue claiming to "know" the answers, which he will tell to the lowly nobodies, and slowly, some people will fall for it.The more people believe, then more and more people believe. I don't know just WHY that is, but it IS the way this kind of stuff works.

And of course, anyone who refuses to agree 100%, is then "THE ENEMY"...to be destroyed !

I understand why Ryan and Gowdy are saying what they’re saying. The Rats in congress and the fake news media are trying to push the lie that the memo was intended to obstruct justice re Mueller’s witch hunt.

I don’t believe either one if them think Mueller has integrity and isn’t extremely partisan.

A lot of things are discussed here.

This isn't the DOJ and FBI under Barack Obama. A "discussion" isn't evidence.

>> “I don’t know who nor what Q is...” <<

Q has been adequately proven to be either Trump, or someone posting for him, simply by the number of times that Trump tweets have affirmed Q posts.

This is not to say that there are not also some fakes.

I'd say there's a pretty good chance that Mueller isn't even really investigating what everyone thinks he's investigating. The evidence for this is that we now know about FISA surveillance dating back to 2016 ... and yet he hasn't filed a single criminal charge against anyone in the matters related to that surveillance.

Because he knew any evidence arising from it was going to be tainted, and ultimately thrown out. That's why his current target is Flynn's discussion with the Russian Ambassador, which is the never before prosecuted Logan Act but was captured under a separate surveillance mechanism, and Trump's possible obstruction trying to get Flynn off. Throw on top some DonJr talking to a Russian lawyer, but that was probably a setup by Fusion GPS. Mueller is working every day on those angles, and hoping to perjury trap Trump like Starr did WJC.

i remain 100% confident that Mueller will find zero evidence of “russian collusion” with Trump before, during and after the election, because said “collusion” is nothing more than a delusional fantasy of the Dems and their leftist fake stream media propagandists.
