T.Gowdy: I remain 100 percent confident in Special Counsel Robert Mueller
twitter ^ | 02/02/2018 | Trey Gowdy

Trey Gowdy, via twitter:

It is important for the American public to know if the dossier was paid for by another candidate, used in court pleadings, vetted before it was used, vetted after it was used, and whether all relevant facts were shared with the tribunal approving of the FISA application.

While this memo raises serious concerns with the FISA process, I have been and remain confident in the overwhelming majority of the men and women serving at the FBI and DOJ.

As I have said repeatedly, I also remain 100 percent confident in Special Counsel Robert Mueller. The contents of this memo do not - in any way - discredit his investigation.

I personally think Roosterhead is making these comments so he can be appointed to a Judicial seat without the Rats going completely crazy.

“How damn stupid. If the Warrant was falsely issued then his investigation has no credibility whatsoever. Without the warrant he would not have been hired for the job. He and Rosenstein need to resign this weekend.”

The o’muslim admin didn’t need no stinkin warrants to spy on the American people and the Trump campaign. They were doing the spying for 8 years without any warrants.

This special counsel coup would have been appointed by Rosenstein (Sessions and Mueller) without a dossier.

The party of Bush (Romney, McCain, Graham, Ryan, McScrotum etc) Want mueller to find something on Trump so they can impeach.

That’s where we are...The cold hard truth.

I agree. Chris Wallace is already pointing to Pappadapoulis as the start of the Russia probe, which is troublesome itself. So, you’re spying on a political opposition candidate based upon alleged drunken ramblings of a junior aid. Throw the dossier out as not credible and you have no Probe. However, if Mueller is an honest investigator, which heretofore Gowdy has nothing public to say at this time he isn’t (his past withstanding - he just hasn’t released anything except to file a few indictments of Manafort, Pappadapoulos and Flynn) - he should come to the conclusion that there is no there there.

I’m so old I remember when we needed evidence before impugning someone’s character.

Best thing mueller can do is apologize to the Trump team and open the investigation on Clinton.

They are going to let Mueller do the right thing here, it seems. Gamesmanship, I think.

Dismissal of the investigation, I would think, is imminent.

“Throw the dossier out as not credible and you have no Probe”

Make no mistake, we would have a special counsel coup to overthrow Trump with or without a dossier.

The corrupt state’s very survival depends on it. Anyone that supports muller and this soviet style special counsel after what went on under the O’muslim regime, needs to be ridiculed, shamed, spit upon, shat upon...run out on a rail

“open the investigation on Clinton.”

Shirely you jest. Mueller works for the clintons and O’muslims. He’s a high treason co-conspirator.

maybe - but the emperor has no clothes: the foundation of his investigation is based on a fraudulent premise.

Man, there is a lot of outing going on today.

People have been warning about Trey for a couple years but they have been mostly ignored because Trey has thousands of YouTube videos where he kicks butt.

Supporting Mueller after the memo has been released, priceless.

The only way Gowdy is right is if Mueller starts handing down indictments on all the coup conspirators.

Isn’t it possible that Gowdy now knows Mueller he has no choice but to “follow any facts arising” from his investigation - leading to collusion at the FBI?

I think this is Gowdy’s way of signaling there may be a big shift in the focus of the SC probe. Rather than Trump, the SC now is faced with investigating its creator: the DOJ. Either that, or it will be wound down with due haste.

Just a perspective. Gowdy’s no dummy. I’m reading between the lines

How on earth does Gowdy say that when it’s clear the investigation was based on deceit and lies made up by the most senior people at the FBI.

While people are piling on Gowdy - deservedly so - let me play devil's advocate for just a moment. What if Gowdy is saying something between the lines here? I think you might take his "integrity" comment another way. What if Gowdy is saying that he has confidence that Mueller, as a man of integrity, can't look at the evidence that has come to light and realize that his own investigation is based on misconduct of officials that he has known and worked with, including many at the agency of which Mueller was the former head? What if the implication is that a man of "integrity" would close down his own investigation in light of this criminality? That's probably reading too much into Gowdy's remarks, but I think it remains a possibility.
